Great service, and the food was pretty decent.

First off, our two servers we had were very friendly, and very attentive.

We decided to share something and there was no problem with this (the even brought us a fry re-fill).

The ribs were pretty good and the fried chicken I didn't love. I thought it was a little dry and was obviously pre-frozen. The coleslaw was really good and the fries as well. Overall we got great food for the price, and great service.

I've had bad experiences at other White Spots but will definately go back to this location.

Mixed feelings from this earl.

We came in for a drink and some appies.

I'll start with the positive:
The blended mojito was awesome! Can't go wrong with it...

On the other hand, we orded the sushi roll on the appy menu and the yam fries.
The sushi roll was not as good as it was at the other Earls we went to before.
It was not rolled as well, the tempura prawn was not as crunchy, and it just didn't taste as fresh and good. Not worth the $12.00 this time. If I had tried it here for the first time, I would say to myself, "Go figure, thats what you get for ordering sushi from EARLS". But, I had it at another Earls first, and it was to die for.

The service was fine and the yam fries were yam fries (can't really screw them up).

I'd come back for drinks but probably not food of any kind.

My favorite sushi place! So delicious!

So I frequently visit this sushi restaurant because I am always greeted with a smile, and always served DELICIOUS food!

Some of my favorites:
-Beef tataki roll (HUGE roll and worth the $11). It is moist and absolutely delicious with the beef marinated in ponzu sauce and placed on top of the roll (which I believe has tempura prawn and real crab meat inside of it).
-Salmon Avocado roll, which has tempura prawns and real crab meat inside, then topped with salmon and avocado. The tempura prawns give it some crunch, and it practically melts in your mouth.
-Any spicy roll (which is NOT chopped, but contains a hearty piece of fish inside)
-Yam fries which come deep fried in a panko crust with wasabi mayo for dipping.

If you get Will serving you, I recommend trying one of his cocktails, especially the Japanese-style sangria he makes. Yum yum!

I really recommend trying this place if you haven't already, as it may just become your favorite sushi place in Victoria!

This place is decent, would visit again when my regular sushi place is closed...

The service here is pretty decent, depending on the day.

The food is pretty good, but once I got some bad salmon sashimi. It was not very fresh and I couldn't eat it!
The SOS on the other hand is outstanding and you MUST try it. It's shrimp, oysters, and scallops baked in this amazing sauce. I don't even like oysters and I eat the whole thing up!

The tuna, scallops, salmon are good if they're fresh, this place is in a convenient location downtown, and all in all I would say, try it.

I still prefer my favorite, Shima sushi on Wharf street. Its just a few blocks down and I swear its 10X better and they have similar pricing.

Happy dining!

Won't return, mainly due to quality of food.

I came here two weeks ago with my boyfriend. He thought it was alright, I did not enjoy it at all.

First off, I'll start with the positive things:
Friendly staff, very good food presentation, good prices, large portions.

Although the staff was friendly, it did take a bit too long to get our tea and water. I think this should be automatic like it is at most Japanese restaurants. Our appetizer, which was supposed to be a BBQ prawn and scallop skewer, was okay except the fact that it came out with oyster on it as well. Neither one of us like oyster and would not have ordered it if oyster was listed as an ingredient for this appetizer (which it wasn't, I double checked). Also, the sauce on this skewer was pretty bland. One of our rolls (the one my boyfriend really wanted) was not ordered as we had requested. We decided not to order it because we already had too much food on our table (this was mainly due to the fact that I only ate a few pieces before I started gagging).

I apologize in advance that I have high standards for sushi. The salmon was not a dark, bright pink colour. It was pale pink and did not look appetizing. The spicy tuna roll was chopped up tuna mixed with sauce. This to me does not look or taste appealing.... its mush. I like a nice piece of tuna in each bite, so you know what you're eating.

All in all, the fish tasted of a low quality, and not so fresh, to the point where I completely lost my appetite. Our bill was $30.00 without drinks, which would have been totally fine if I left full and happy.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you're the type of person who LIKES the kind of sushi they serve at all you can eat places.

We went there purely out of convenience because of the location. Normally I would choose a place I've been to before and know is good.

First of all, it took like AT LEAST 5 minutes to even be approached after sitting down.
My friend ordered a sprite and I got water.

They took a while to get our drinks and then to take our order. We each ordered an appitizer (which we asked to get first) He got tempura prawns, I got spinach salad.

Tempura prawns came first, after a long wait, and then finally the salad came which was discusting. It was wet cold spinach with practically nothing more to it. I didn't take more than a bite and sent it back (which I normally woudn't do, but I did not want to pay for it as the service was bad enough)

We ordered four rolls. One roll came, and part way through eating it realized it was not what we ordered. It was a tempura roll and didn't taste very good to me but I was hungry and ate a few bites. Then three more rolls came after and they were just horrible. I tasted each one and decided I lost my appitite. My friend didn't mind them but at the same time he tends to go to all you can eat sushi restaurants... I have slightly higher standards than that.

Not once was my friend offered a refill on his sprite until he was done eating, then the server offered and brought the drink.

On the bill, I was astonished to find a $1.95 charge for EACH fill of sprite (YES, 3.90 for the sprite) AND the spinach salad to be still on the bill! Normally I would make a big stink out of something like this but my friend was paying and I thought it would be rude of me to do that since he was paying. I am so discusted in this place - the food, the service, the COST. Our bill came close to $40 and I left hungry and disappointed. When I go to Azuma with another person, our bill comes to less than $30 without drinks, and although the odd time I have not so good service, it tends to be a way better experience than this was.

This place is so chill! The atmosphere is really nice. So far all the servers I have gotten were super friendly. The edamame beans are AMAZING, and they do them like no other with lime juice, fresh mint, and course sea salt. For only $7 you get a huge perfect for like three people! The other appies I have tried so far are amazing, such as the fruit/cheese/meat plate (forget what it is called) And the drinks are usually pretty good as well. The service is prompt also. 5 stars from me!

Not impressed with the food.

The flavours didn't come together in any of the dishes. The blackberries did not go well on the halibut at all, they were a bit pretentious. The only thing good was my drink and my sister's cheesecake. (which I am guessing they didn't make themselves anyway) I would not recommend this place as I spent $50 plus tip on myself alone, and was not satisfied at all.
