My husband, myself, my daughter attended this restaurant with our 6 year old granddaughter. Although the restaurant was almost empty, we were led to a booth facing the work station. We got moved to a better location.
My daughter's steak was full of gristle and fat and cooked rare and not the medium rare that she requested. My New York steak was medium rare and not the medium, that I requested. The first bite of my steak was full of fat and gristle as well. The side vegetable with both of our steaks was sliced tomato. My daughter had to pay extra for a very small amount of caesar salad served in an appropriate vessel.
We opened up our granddaughter's hamburger to discover that it did not consist of ground beef but chunks of high fat and slimy looking meat. We sent it back and were told by the manager that she would take it off the bill. However, she did not go so far as to remove her virgin Shirley Temple drink from the bill.
We were tired, hungry and not feeling all too well due to lack of sleep and were hoping that a nice meal with good service, ambience and good food would be a pleasant topper to a busy day. Hence, we were slow to notice the above shortcomings soon enough to take our leave before paying top prices for inferior food and service. We had to ask for water. We also notice that tops of the 3' dividing walls were covered in dust. We also noticed that the restaurant did not have a clean feel to it. The staff looked as tho they were lobotomized.
How, in heaven's name, do restaurants get away with this? We will certainly pass the word around about this experience.
