Our first time trying Ethiopian food in Vancouver. The restaurant is a small and simple place. The owner was very nice and helped us choosing from the menu.
We had a non-vegetarian combination ($13.50 incl. tax) and two vegetarian dishes ($7.50 ea.) for three persons. It was all freshly made and everything had it's own distinct taste. It was served with plenty of Ethiopian bread. The way it is served makes it very easy to share dishes and try different things. The amounts served were well enough. We finished with some well tasting Ethiopian coffee.
The place gets my recommendation, it is simple but serves excellent food.

I was recommended this place for the food, but it was a disappointing experience.
After a relatively long wait we got our appetizer (Vegetable Pakora), which was ok, but I had better Pakora before. Shortly thereafter the main dishes arrived, one at a time with the rice being the last one. The way the dishes were served was really bad, they just put them on the edge of the table, without further comment. We asked the server what it was and he didn't know it! One dish came with veggies only even though it was ordered with chicken - on our request they added chicken. Two out of the 3 dishes were good, Manchurian Chicken and the eggplant/chicken dish, but the Pili was simply too hot. Even though I am used to cook hot Indian food at home and order the spicier dishes in restaurants, I could not finish it. The waitress asked how the food was and I replied that I found it so spicy that I actually cannot say if it tasted well at all. Her reply was that I could have ordered it in 'mild' (but she did not offer the choice, neither did she warn me that this is more than the usual restaurant spice). The amount of food was huge.
So far everything would have been quite fine with me. But upon taking away our dishes the waiter dropped a knife right into my water glass. The glass broke and the water went all over the table and onto my pants. The waiter's solution to this was to take away the glass, use _one_ paper tissue in a ridiculous effort to clean up the mess and then bring the bill! The water was standing on the table and he did not offer to bring me a fresh glass of water which I just had gotten refilled.
There is one funny thing in the restaurant though, watch the staff handing dishes from waiter to waiter, nobody knowing where to get rid of it...
