Sushi K Kamizato2850 Shaughnessy Street, #2105, Port Coquitlam
A japanese restaurant that stands out from SoOoO many japanese restaurants in Port Coquitlam

Original authentic japanese food from a japanese Chef. Refreshing considering most owners are Korean or Chinese in this area. Daily specials, Original rolls and they serve liquor. Food wait times are longer than normal as there is only one cook. Small dining area so large party's of 6 or more might not fit. Very friendly staff. About the same price point as the neighbouring restaurants but smaller sushi portions. The difference in portions is balanced by the presentation and care in preparation. This place is not your typical large portion, lower mainland ,get you in and out as fast as possible sushi joint. It's worth the drive from Vancouver to try this place out.

Nicolelina's Cafe2838 St. Johns St, Port Moody
Good food. No service establishment.

Normal pricing for their breakfast items for the cafes in the Port Moody area. It has a clean mom and pop feel dining decore. Speedy food prep considering the place was full. Pay first , bring back your own dishes type of place. Hidden $0.75 charge per person if you order a cup of water which was added to our bill without us knowing. The last 2 issues were a bit of a surprise for our party of 6. Since is was our first time being asked by a waitress to clear our own table and we were not used to being charged for hot water which in Vancouver is usually free. When asked about the water charge , we were informed that it costs money to heat the water and serve it in a cup and wash it.
I would recommend this location if your comfortable with the last 2 things and if not I would reccomend Omega Cafe across the street.
Has anyone else ever been to an eatery and been charged for non bottled water or hot water in a mug?

Good alternative for an oysters and appys night out to the high end places in vancouver

I love trying new places to eat in vancouver and this place didnt disappoint me . We had the calamari and crab dip and they were excellent . the crap dip came with these baked tortilla chips that tasted awesome with it. the drink menu had many drinks to satisfy any craving and the prices were pricey 8-10 for martinis and cocktails. We lucked out bc we went on a monday and they had a buck a shuck oysters. The shucker said he must of shucked around 1000 oysters over 4 hours .He worked hard and gave us great service . I think his name was Mike Unrawoyster guy. He can shuck talk and dance at the same time . He was great. I would definitely go back there . Our waiteress was attentive and the ambiance is like a moxies or milestons but more hard and darker. Great location and u could always go next door to bayside lounge after for drinks bc sometimes they like to close early like 10ish
