Worst Fish and Chips in B.C.
Submitted Sunday, July 3, 2016 - 1:41pm [Take-out]

Expensive, over rated, chip oil hasn't been changed in a long time, they just keep adding oil. Soggy chips. Fish just OK. Why would anyone enjoy this sub standard fare. Wake up people and look three doors down at any one of the much better Fish and Chippy. LAST TIME, thank goodness I didn't pay so didn't complain.

We were a group of four and wanted a normal lunch without hassles. The waitress's were in a surly mood as
one gal's was late and none of the others appeared to help each other. We were forgotten and then we noticed others that were seated after us had ordered and already got their food. We called a gal over and asked what the #$%@ was happening with our original waitress. She ended up being the hostess and forgot to tell the waitress's that we needed our orders taken. HAD to ask for coffee refills, had to ask for water, had to ask for desert menu. The actual meals were just ok and seemed to take a long time to deliver. NOT A BUSY DAY EITHER.

There are so many choices in South Surrey and this place is now OFF THE LIST.

With coffees and one dessert $75.00 . NOT WORTH IT FOLKS!

Pub Grub with a difference

We had a 'OK 'noon time meal with family.I had the recommended Singapore night market noddle meal.

Just good , but of course not any where as authentic or as great as the Real Noddle Singapore meal is.
Large portion of noodles ,but short on the protein [5 small shrimp ,barely cooked and very small and few pieces of chicken]. Seasoning very mild to non existant.

Fish Tacos was another meal and again VERY SHORT on the protein. Overall the meals had to be rated as mediocre. Atmosphere , upscale and pleasant, Staff attentive, Price : about $11 PER plate.

We will go again but will see if the food will be better.

There are better pub meals to be had in South Surrey.

It has been some time since we were last here due to the lack lustre performance of this once South Surrey standard of Quality.

We went on a Monday Holiday brunch outing.
Seniors $18.00 , adults $22. children $15

The variety of foods presented was just average. however the quality was actually very good. Staff was very pleasant and were attentive to our needs. Various dishes were replenished as needed.MAIN COURSES were

middle of the road , Roast beef, a chicken dish , a fish dish , Veges , nothing special, Omelette station , waffle

Station. Deserts HO HUM , Chocolate fountain with variety of fruits.ALL in All Just a solid performance.

PLUSES. Roast beef was expertly done , Horse radish was fresh.

CONS:- Not enough variety to bring us back soon. Children at $15.00 - way too expensive.

This venue was only a third full. Management has to see that an opportunity is being missed. Increase the value of your offerings and word of mouth and advertising will increase your bottom line.

Will we go again soon? NO because there are so many more golf courses that have much better buffets.

Nice atmosphere , and from there down hill.
Very difficult menu to read in dim light. ONLINE MENU is different than actual menu.Server was bored , unfriendly and forgetful when it came to serving us.Food is way over priced and mediocre in taste. Portions very small so plan ahead for hitting up another eatery on the way home.

We would classify this place as a major disappointment and recommend a pass.

Once a very solid choice for South Surrey. This is what happens when you get compliance and not keep up with the times . Food specials where terrible. Three of four ordered the special of the day [schnitzel] and the meat was old tasting and tough, the carrots cold , the portions very small. Thank gawd I wasn't paying. Gone down hill and will not recover ?

Buffet not so great, ok ok not good ,ok ok mediocre
Submitted Saturday, August 30, 2014 - 10:04am [Dine in]

What a disappointment. Arrived at 11.40 AM for their buffet and was told the Buffet opens at 12. Their sign states 11:30. Ok came back at 12:10 and found a small buffet 12 items in the hot section. Goat curry is always my favourite BUT not this time. Meat was old and very tough. It appears as if they cook the meat days ahead of time and just add it to a sauce. Meat not even stirred in as it was sitting of top of sauce ,all dried looking. Butter Chicken dish same , very small pieces and again prepared much earlier and tasted strange.

When I told our waitress she could not less. Told our cashier ,again my comments went unanswered.

The sauces were very good ,premises very clean. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall in S Surrey and the owners must serve a much better buffet. I can not see this place lasting. Only two other people eating there on a Friday lunch time.Aug ,2014

Now I remember why I do not go there often. Ordered the steak sandwich med rare, arrived well done , fries burnt and tasted of old oil. Coffee was good. Should have commented but was with a group and I wasn't paying. Others mentioned portion sizes seemed to have shrunk.

Too many other choices in the Langley area, won't be back .

We would never have found this place without a coupon from the Entertainment book. Blue collar neighbourhood, but a great little local eatery. Melonie ,our waitress, was very attentative , knowledgeable and friendly, as were all the wait staff. Food was perfectly prepared and prompt.Over all rating is a solid 3.+

I would definately try this place again.

An old standby for mid week specials.Food prep is above average and nice menu for the location. The Vault needs a face lift after all these years , starting to look tired.

Fairly expensive and smaller portions on nightly specials. Recommend to order just the single of specialty drinks, doubles taste the same .hmmmmm.Can have seedy looking characters at times.

Now I remember why we have not been to this place in a long time. Mediocre everything except our waitress. She was very pleasant. Tasteless breakfast scramble and very small portion for $12.00. Cheap tasting coffee.
This a favourite place for the elderly as they love the 2 for 1 meals.... But the meals are small and made from cheaper ingredients.Even the catsup is lower quality. This Pantry was quite busy with the Blue Rinse crowd. O well lots of other places in the S. Surrey area.

Ok ordered their chicken burger , it took a long time ,but wow it was great , wife ordered the chicken salad ,also great , VALUE in the meal BUT ,we didn't want to think about the kitchen cleanliness.

,RATED 5 ,,no.... 7 ..no... 3 ... /10 , young chef but will move on to greener pastures.

What a waste of Money !!
Submitted Tuesday, March 19, 2013 - 5:33pm [Dine in]

I would have NEVER gone to this place except multi family members decided for the group.I had "The Legendary" burger. Horrible ! Fries where just warm and soggy, The oil in their fryer needs to be changed and cleaned thoroughly .The fries were the worst I have had in a long time, Burger tasted as if it was a out of box of preformed frozen tasteless globs of meat. No tomato as stated. My wife had a Halibut burger with a piece of pickle stuck on with a tooth pick , SHE HATES PICKLES . The bun was saturated with pickle juice. The others in our party where similarily un impressed and funnily we all said we should have said something but didn't want to spoil the occassion.

NEVER will I go back. Gone down hill and now in my "no eat zone ".

Yet the place was busy. Come folks on you deserve better fare , go some place else.

Blue collar, dated decor, located in small strip mall with no major or minor draw.
Lot's of wait staff but somewhat in attentive as they were always talking with each other.
Extensive menu with typical Irish fare.Ordered a jug of Corky's beer[$10.85]with a frozen cylinder inside jug. Excellent idea and brew.Ordered Lamb burger, fries just done [soggy] tastless-3/10. Stir fry [large portion]7/10 ,
steak meal .excellent [no rating] ,fish &chips OK [not rate]. Staff not friendly, felt out of place with all the locals.

Overall Experience rating 3.5/10. Too many other places to try ,I will not be back.

A big mixed group of 17 kids ,parents and g'parents and friends .

Server Clayton looked after our two big tables and keep track of five separate bills flawlessly.Great host to our special celebratory evening meal. Clayton is a "credit" to Moxies!

My meal was excellent and have to rate my experience 4.5/5 [meat balls stuffed with cheese and spaggetti ]

V.Tasty ,well presented and value for the money. Shared a med bread appy with 4 dips~ $6 . excellent flavours and portion sizes.

My wife had a very generous portion of a Carribbean style chicken meal and found it a bit too hot ,but that's ok as I ate most of it . Wonderful falvours .

All the kid meals were a great hit and the dry ice ,ice cream dessert was the highlight for all of them.

Atmosphere , moderately up scale , clean , well trained staff .

It was long time since visiting a KEG and I wonder why. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our booth was little weird as there was normal space on one side and the other was at least 3 or 4 inches narrower.
Waiter was some what attentive to our needs and nicely but not over the top friendly ,but a little slow on replenishing our coffees. I ordered the Tai Chicken and asked for a bit more spicey heat and the chef accommodated and the meal was perfect.Everyone at the table was most pleased with experience.

What a great first impression! Fabulous decor . From there Down hill! EXPENSIVE MENU .
We noticed how loud the music was and asked for a table far from a speaker. Still very loud.Waitress was prompt ,we ordered 2 coffees, one tea, 3 waters. One coffee was missing and she said she would be right back.Tea was served in a funky teapot , Tea- way over steeped and no way to remove tea leaves , should have ordered new one. Ordered meals [reminded about missing coffee]waited , waited, waited . Had to eye ball waitress she finally came with my over roasted terrible coffee. SUPER GREAT PRESENTATION OF ALL 3 MEALS .Meal one [wrong soup] meal 2 [cold fries] and over cooked burger & dry bun. ate part of burger , fries finally arrived. Not onced did waitress ask anyone how their meal was , nor any apologises for screw ups. Manager ......wake up and taste your food , check on service.
What a disappointment . No tip. Will not come back!

This little mall takeout/resturant is under new ownership [as of Aug 2012]and Mike is trying to get a noon time trade going. Noon hours opening is 11:30 AM ,but had to knock on the windows at 11:35 and Mike opened up. The restaurant was V cold and we hoped to see some heat on.We had some second thoughts of staying and we were pleased to give him a chance. We ordered to regular sized ,2 diff pasta dishes and they were ready in about 25 mins.We were the only people in until a single came looked at the wall menu and finding no one to assist, walked out . Another came in for fish and chips and the owner had trouble getting the fryer going .

Overall the portion was very generous , flavours of the 2 different pastas was nice BUT were identical.

We will give it another chance ,But customer service is important to us and found it some what lacking. Mike is a very nice guy.

Washrooms clean but not floors had some paper debris from previous opening ?
