I decided to take one of my friends to the Boathouse for Sunday brunch, I was a little shocked to see that their going rate for eggs benny has shot up to 13.99, this is only breakfast wait till you see the dinner prices, anyhow when my my plate showed up it sure looked nice, besides the eggs being left in the hot tub way too long, note to kitchen " use a timer" I could of used those eggs for door stoppers. Our upbeat server didn't hesitate to get a remake going, when round two showed up the eggs were poached right, but the potatoes looked like they were replaced by some dried out week old stunt double,, I asked the server why they were different, she claimed that the last batch was deep fried and these were oven baked, I felt that the kitchen was triyng to put me together, All I wanted was eggs benny done right , with good spuds, is that to much to ask for 13.99????
I went here last night and man was it In Incredible, the Mssels from PEI were of the chart , some sort of white wine Fennel sauce , all I have to say is give me the recipe!!!! For our main event my buddy ordered the Fish and Chips, he ranked them a high nine out of ten, good TARTER TOO, I ordered the Haddock, I must say this main was delicious as well as frugaliciuos, we finished off with some bread pudding and a couple shots of screeeech. Mac the owner was also very hospitible and entertaining. we will be back!!! Thanks for the great evening Joes.
