We have been dining at Lave for 3+ years and have tried almost everything on the menu (all though in changes seasonally for fresh ingredients) My favourite is the blue cheese tenderloin, it is always cooked to perfection with all the fixins. My husbands favourite is any of their lamb dishes and the Friday night special which is a huge piece of prime rib with yorkshire and potatoes. We have yet to be disappointed with any of the food. I often frequent Lava for lunch to catch up with owner Robert and have Chris's delicious Prime rib sandwich and fries.
Service at Lava is always phenomenal, you get a very personal experience with Robert and he always has great wine and food recommendations. My friends are always very impressed when I bring them to dine at Lava as Robert will always treat us like family. We have always had exceptional food and service.
To top it all off the prices are reasonable, 21.99 for a prime rib with fixins is a great deal! My favourite lunch time Prime Rib sandwich is under $15!
Even if you don't live in the area I suggest you give Lava a try, you will not be disappointed. Even if you are looking to go for a family outing and have kids, Robert has always been welcomed our 2 month old daughter and 16 month old nephew.
