Came here for dim sum twice, both times on Sundays. The place was packed but people kept coming. That's because the dim sum is pretty good(but not high end good), portion is big, the variety is decent, they are brought to you by carts and the price is right. For the five of us the bill came to $45! with leftovers to take home. (BTW They take cash only if the bill is less than $30)
The down side to this place is that you will feel rushed from the time you get there. They rely on volume. So expect to eat and run. The place is so hectic and crowded that you won't want to linger ...even if they let you.The hostess/manager led customer that were waiting in line right to our table while we were finishing up. The next time we were there, she led us to a table where the people were still eating??!
I have to say that although the hostess/manager's ways are unorthodox, she does keep the line moving and provide effective crowd control...like keeping this rude man from budding in front of me the last time we were there.
The health board had lots of problem with the owner of this place when they were at their last location. Hopefully, they are cleaner now. I'll be checking on the health board's website.
In summery, this is a good place to go for quick cheap eats the next time you are desperate for dim sum but don't want to go into Rmd. Just hope they can keep the place reasonably clean.
