I love this place and the lady who runs it. I often come from the Real Estate Board to lunch here and I meet a colleague here as well from time to time. Hanna is so darling and the food is sooooo yummy and affordable. Yes, I agree, the bbq chicken sub is the best sandwich. Lunch combo D is my favourite and sometimes when ordering a la carte I just can't decide so I overeat - just because everything is so good.

This place was expensive for small amounts of boiled/steamed food. They have no licence for frying/deep frying so everything is, as previously mentioned, boiled or steamed. I was with three other people who agreed that we'd "been taken". I much prefer the place across the street and north by one block. Sorry... Yum Yai has a long way to go.

I've eaten many times at Sake Maki and have never been disappointed. The owners (also the servers) are friendly and accommodating. Angel knows that each time I come I would like water as well as tea AND I start with edamame, no questions asked. I've tried many of the special rolls and a friend and I ate together one evening. He had a dinner combination and he could barely get up from the chair following the meal - it was so ample and good. It is a welcome change from the two filthy so called Japanese places across the street. The place has been totally renovated with the exception of some vestiges of a previously owned Italian (nope, it wasn't Greek) restaurant. The bathrooms have been completely redone as has the paint, the floor, the kitchen AND the "bar". Congratulations to the new owners. I'll be a regular for sure and I'll take friends there.
