First of all , the restaurant ambiance is nice but it has nothing to do with the mexican culture (not like las margaritas , dona cata , etc). But to me that doesn't matter. The food is what is the most crucial part isnt? well , to be honest with you is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Vancouver. Pretty traditional. If you are into tacos al pastor this is a place for u ! It actually has the big thing for al pastor ( not sure how do you call it in english but is trompo for those spanish speakers). I order a parrilada , which is a lot of type of meats and tortillas with beans at the side. It was pretty good , except for la arrachera ( flank steak). The salsas were also pretty decent . I order a flan for dessert...I recommend it.

Since my arrival to Vancouver , I've been looking desperately for some quality and authentic tacos.I've been to las Margaritas , Don Guacamoles , Red Burrito , etc... Yet , i never tried such good tacos like the ones in Dona Cata. Food is very good , service ....mmm not bad , the servers are friendly though. However , the ambiance is pretty lame. Not like las Margaritas , in fact , is ugly. For being a Mexican , to me the prices are insane. I mean I n mexico can get a 10 amazing tacos for only 5 bucks. But i guess in canadian standards , the price is not that bad. Anyways , i recommend Tacos al Pastor , Tacos de loganiza , and carnitas with a nice cold Corona at the side.
