I'm So X-Sited

We eat here because it's quick, tasty, cheap and it's really close to home. The smell of the copper on the table tops and the often cheesy piped in music can be distracting, but after a couple of pints, who cares. The servers are always pleasant and have never gotten an order wrong. The random hours of operation can be frustrating.

Good Food, Good Price

Every time we eat here, we are thoroughly satisfied with both the quantity and quality of the food. For example, the eggs are of top quality; their yolks are deeper in colour than the slice of orange beside it . The interior is clean, bright, as are the utensils. It's tucked away in a quiet part of Burnaby which is nice when you want to sit outside. There should be more places like this in residential areas. Anyone with a decent soul should support this restaurant.

Kind of Lame

I ordered the Valentine's Day special: salmon rice and veg. My girlfriend got the salmon burger. I suspect that what was on my plate had been frozen in a bag before it was heated and served to me. I'm no Gordon Ramsay but, the only redeeming quality about the veggies was that they were not cold. The rice was cooked - another redeeming quality. My salmon was so-so. We both agreed that the salmon burger at X-Site was better tasting and a much better value.
