ok... Sushi town isnt REAL sushi... at least by definition, its Korean style sushi so the size of the rolls are different
Despite that, i love sushi and i have a pretty damn good sense of tasting good sushi and having the crap stingy chinese made sushi = ="
anyways... i've been going to sushitown since it opened across the Burnaby North HIghschool and one of my friends' parents knew the owner...
the food back then was EXCEPTIONAL the quality of the rolls was done with great attentiveness. the rice was fresh, and the rolls were 'kept together' and didnt fall apart
the cutting of the rolls was more even...(this was when there were 3-4 head chefs)
now that sushitown has expanded they've employed several chef's in training, and the owner is rarely seen there at the branch.
anyways...the sushi ... isnt cut as well..but it still tastes the same which is important, because consistency is very important.
Best rolls are : Awesome Roll, Dragon Roll or Double Dragon Roll, Spicy Tuna Sashimi, and Spider rolll
Awesome roll is simply awesome and to die for, dragon roll is basically avocado on the inside, wrapped in gnori and UNAGI (salt water eel)
When it comes to service... u have to be understanding, most of the servers are students also its VERY busy. But once u wave ur hand and signal the servers they're usually quite quick to get ur tea or order
in short, if ur patient and understanding, than the servers will treat accordingly.
Sushitown is affordable great FRESH sushi =)
