My husband and I have been frequenting Crave on Main st for sometime now and have always been delighted with the quality of the food and service.
A short time ago we decided to switch it up for our anniversary and try Crave beachside. What an amazing location and view! Unfortunately that was the only highlight of our experience there.
We ordered the sablefish and risotto. The sablefish was overcooked and dry. If you're familiar with sablefish you'll know that it is a very oily fish and overcooking it is a difficult feat to master indeed, however they seem to have it down pat, Bravo! The risotto was bland and had no bite left to it. It was comparable to being served an expensive bowl of mushy porridge.
I wanted to send the entire meal back but my husband asked that I not make a fuss and instead make the best of our evening.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Should you decide to try it, go for the view and bring a hearty supply of herbs and spices in you purse!
