I have to say that Fatburger is a good place to eat burgers...the quality of the beef and fresh patties...not frozen. The lady at the cashier was friendly but I was looking at the staff in the kitchen and one did not have any gloves on...I saw here put the buns in the toaster and the cashier lady was working in the kitchen part but no gloves and I do not think she even washed her hands.
I usually say something about this....but I did not want to because she was a sweetheart and good service and also gave me a deal on the extra stamp....all in all the only think is not wearing gloves and please do not touch your face too much....and especially money......money is dirty!!!
I do hope someone reads my review and makes a change about this......burgers are pricey but they are not by far McDonald's.
Place is ok...a lot bigger than the other ones that I have seen so far. Just wash your hands and do not touch your face too much.

I have been here three times now...twice for dine in and once for take out.....on my way home to Vancouver...I thought...since I am out in Coquitlam...grab some Gnocchi and go home....I wasn't feeling that great...and I was craving Pasta and Rosa's..since it's been a while.....I forgot how small the place is.....the owner really needs to open up a bigger place....
I felt uncomfortable picking up my order....I ordered two gnocchi's, One ravioli and a caeasr salad...wow, almost $72......I couldn't believe the price....I did look under the web site for the menu and there was no prices on it....or at least I did not see any prices at all...maybe my imagination....
When I was paying...I noticed it's too dark in the area...for ice and paying.....I like to see if there is any hair when working....they need more lights.....I think I will call the health dept.!!!
The girl that served me was nice but I didn't know if she did lick her finger to grab the plastic bag to open....that is a no no in my books....that goes for even cashiers everywhere.....either Rosa (Anna?) should hire more people on a Fri and Sat. nights.
When I got home finally....I was saying to my dad....that there was not much sauce on both the pastas...and we are both Italian.....
The caesar salad was not special at all.....and you don't get much either....again the price was too much for everything......
If the owner does not care to make the place bigger or brighter....more staffed.....then close down.....
Finally words......do try this place once....then you will see how small everyone is talking about....
Food is good....but take out is small quantity....for the prices...??

I thought I wrote a review on this place...it must of disappeared or the owner removed my review. I went there with some girlfriends on a Persian night to see some belly dancing. I reserved a table for 10 and had 8 girls come for sure that night....the owner gave us a booth and wanted us to sit in two booths, I asked him I wanted a table with chairs so we can all sit together and always..the chairs will be a lot easier to get in and out from...he said that the other side where the tables were...are for 20 people...Bull@$#@%T!!!!!! He just wanted his own culture sitting there.....
The waitress was nice but did not come around all night...to ask us if we were ok...or if we wanted anything else.....they seem to have a different menu for the Persian people....and I do not know how this restaurant survives on cheap food prices and the Persian food comes delivered from North Vancouver...they do not make it there ...apparently from what someone told me....and I do think a Persian girl told me also..before that works there...
The belly dancer was nice....but the music could of been a lot higher volume....when later some of my friends were leaving....Persian people started to take over our booth...very sneaky...like snakes....cheap food and cheap people...trust me..I am CDN, European decent and I have been in the culture for more than 25 yrs. now and I never had this problem .....the way I think about them now...it's disgusting.....
The owner does not give a SHIT about customer service and the Persian People that go on FRIDAY'S, SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS....ARE SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I REALLY DO HOPE THIS PLACE CLOSES DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my Birthday Party there last month...first time there...close to home and for others....I reserved 3 weeks in advance and I called four days prior and on that day Thursday....I said the final count for the back room...the girl on the phone said she did not have it written down about the back room and I was not happy....
She commented on how it was no problem to me and I said that I called at least three times to talk about it...and ask questions like...how many people can fit in the back room....and so on.
Very disappointing about that.... my friends are pretty much 40 yrs. and over and the place felt like 20's and 30's age range....there was live music that night...only on Thurs'. and Sun's .....so I lucked out.
The food was ok......I do not really know Brazilian Food at all....I ordered the main Brazilian dish that is popular but I did not find it that great....the appies are more pleasing and not bad prices at all......
The menu is hard to read and the tables felt a bit sticky and dirty.....very small place and can be cleaner...
The waitress was nice and friendly....They should clean and wipe the menus and have the writing a bit bigger....
OK place for close to home and needs a bit of cleaning .....new menus even though it is like a Ma and Pa place type....
Good for 30ish age group....

I went today to get a reading done....I can not believe the prices went up from $10. to $30. the lady told me (who does the readings). You even have to buy a limit of $5. and up on Food.
I did not have my reading today....it's crazy to get it done with those prices, especially today,
I ordered just a coffee and left....with some attitudes as usual.
I find the women that work there and in the Tea Room are ALL snobby and B- - - - -- s!!!!!
The Diplomat cake is hard as a Rock.....no one of my friends like this cake and I know Notte's are known for this cake.....the other pastries are not that great either......too much heavyness on the butter and creams.
Prices are crazy.....they don't have good bargains at all...never!!! For the end of the day.....I think they just keep using the same products for the next day.....
Again, I find the service horrible.....the ladies are very Rude!!! and today there was a young lady, she kept touching her hair, fixing it....not good in my book.....again...it's a no no for me....
I don't think I will ever go back again....good coffee though. I can get a reading down under $30 and you don't have to buy anything extra with it!!!!!

I don't really remember ordering pizza from Gigi's long time ago...maybe in the old days this place was good. I used to order from Trocedero's, Little Billy's, etc both on Nanaimo St. years ago now, but Troc's is still there and might I just add not as good as the old days.
I was craving a large pizza to go....I ordered the Gigi's special with everything except easy on the sauce, extra cheese and pineapple.
I saw only oriental people working there...making pizza...place seems to smell just a bit when I walked in and the waitress had her hair down...but it was too long and that really grosses me out a lot.....
tie your hair up even if your not in the kitchen...still....be a little more representable.
I don't know how it was way before but I know a friend of mine orders from there and she seems to like it.
When I took the pizza home later on that evening....first thought was....where is the pineapple and the other toppings...they were there but it didn't look like it at first....skimpy...cheap cheap cheap.....
Taste was good but...a little more toppings and the place needs to be renovated. Tie your long long hair up. Make the Kitchen noticeable...where people can actually see the cooks and see how clean the place can be.
I hope it is clean in the back and that grosses me out also. But....when craving a pizza, what do you do...right?
Next time, just make my own pizza dough or buy it from a Italian bakery and just make it at home...where you know it's clean and lots of toppings, as much as you want!

When it comes to Jewish food...I am not that professional about it....but what is it...bagels, Corned beef, Knishes, etc.....
I was there for the second time now...the only thing I like is the free one hour parking on the side (back).
I ordered a hot pastrami on rye....I saw the guy washed his hands and that was great but I didn't notice if he used the soap....I did notice a lady making sands. and she was not wearing gloves....when I go to places Deli's, Rest's, etc....always I look at the kitchen the people and see if they are touching their faces and hair, if it's tied up and wearing gloves....that is a big NO NO for me and I do tell people all the time about the places I go to....if it's ok or not.
I find the prices are expensive the bagels are ok....all in all not bad...the back kitchen looks ok from what I see and the guy passing through the kitchen had a beard and I wish it had a net on it.
All in all, ok place...slow at cash....needs to be a little more organized.

I haven't been here for a while....I wanted just to buy one or two bagels but they were all packaged up in six's not in bulk, when I asked the lady behind the counter...she seemed as if I asked a weird question.
I saw another package of buns and I thought that there was a hair on a bun.....the bakers need to be a little more attentive on their goods.
The service is snotty and I don't think that the ladies are happy at all working there....maybe the boss treats them like crap....but I think they need to be talked to and have some music and tables and chairs for customers to enjoy some goodies and with some coffee.
The pastries tasted stale when I got home...I ended up throwing the pastries out.
The sausage rolls were not that great...and after seeing the hair or whatever I saw on the bun the whole thing turned me right off.
Sorry, Valley bakery maybe at one time you were good...need to reno the place up again....and see the back kitchen...maybe then you can tie your hair up and be cleaner.
I won't go back and I go everywhere for a good bakery and I tell everyone not to go to Valley Alley!!!!!

I have to say that every time I go to Victoria I have to eat at Romeo's....must be something in the water over there...I live in Vancouver but the pizza reminds of this place that I used to go to when I was young...
but now that went in the month of Dec./12 it was a little different than usual....
I found that they didn't put too much toppings and it's getting cheaper but it is two for one for pizza and pastas....
I miss how Romeo's was in the past, thicker and more toppings....don't be cheap...oh, by the way this was the new Romeo's on Blanshard st. just opened up I think last year sometime???
Put more toppings and show the kitchen...I always like to see who is making my food and if it's clean....
I hope....I get tired of the oven-brick pizzas that are really sprouting out now everywhere in Vancouver...
But....all in all...my fav. pizza in Victoria!!!!!!!! I do recommend this place to everyone when visiting Vic.

Well, I came here for the first time in the early 90's and I really don't remember what I had or how it was. My girlfriend took me here again after so many years for my birthday and boy, was it cheap and pretty good. I had the Pot Roast, it was good, nothing fancy and I had the salad buffet with it also. The dessert can be a bit better, not too bad, but I saw a pie out in the open that night on a cart, just sitting there, it should be covered or behind some glass so people that walk by don't sneeze or cough when going by.
Already in my reviews I always state that the people working anywhere, especially in the Food industry to tie their hair up and don't touch your face or hair. Not that I saw anything like this that night and oh, my friend told me she heard that the restaurant is the third place for being clean in the North Shore. I am happy to hear that.
The deco is ugly, the place does need reno's, it looks like the 80's still. Just as long as it's clean and the staff is clean.
The food is good. I had the Fish n' chips, burger, pasta dishes since I've been back this year. All cheap in price, which is great, considering no one has money these days.
All in All, try out this place, great for taking your mom and pop to. Good Food...Good Prices.....staff is pretty friendly. Service is ok. For the price you pay. Try this place out!

Well, here's the thing....I went there last night with some friends...no special reason just some dancing and dining. When I called about 2 weeks prior for a table for 4, then asking a few friends here and there, whoever wanted to come for a nice night out, it ended up being 5 of us.
The host was rude when I called during the day saying that it might be 2 more people at my table, the person I spoke to was rude and not friendly at all on the phone. He only said to call back with a for sure head count. I could not be on the phone all day and I did not have time to call Baci's back. So, when arrival I asked if possible for one more person. Again, rude and not friendly. When seated I noticed there was one or two tables available during our meal, by then it looked like there was more than 5 tables available.
The host made it sound like it was packed which I was telling my girlfriend to look around and tell me if it was my imagination. Which I was right. There was tables and the host made me feel like - - - -!! During the whole day when I talked early before and during the stay.
Food is alright, good prices, service can be nicer. The water girl was the best. Music is great....if you are into Ballroom dancing music and a little of English, Oldies and hard to request some Middle Eastern Music, I think the owner wants to keep it more Italian, which I am, but I really do enjoy listening to Middle Eastern Music also.
The owner of Baci's is Iranian so you can see where I am coming from when requesting some Iranian Music, and it looked like there was a bunch of ladies that would of appreciated it more.
I think we were waiting for Iranian Music more than anything, but I do enjoy all types of Music, especially the old Italian music (wedding music).
All in all, good food, good prices (especially because you stay there for the whole night), can be better and friendlier service and especially from the Host.
Must try place if you never tried it yet. You can request music, but you will hear mostly Spanish music.

I went there yesterday with my girlfriend and we splint a wrap and sandwich. I asked if they can panini grill it and it did not seem warm or tasty at all. I thought that the wrap was ok, I had better. Even if it does have Quinoa in it and it's good for you.
They need to have more selection on food items and to change the sandwiches, I don't know where they order from but the company needs to change that and just have a really good selection on the Entree items.
There was nothing in the case, maybe because we went around 2pm. No excuse.
Make the sands more hotter, leave it in the panini grill a little longer.
I didn't want to say anything about it at the time. Too much work then for the guy behind the counter.
Service was good, friendly girl that served and took my order.
The place is nice and sometimes I like dark places.
The Bean around the World on W. 10th Ave. West Point Grey area is a lot of food to choice from, a lot of selection, but it has been a while for me in 'Beans'.
All in All, pretty good service, warm the sands a little more, more more Selection on Sands!

Long wait for a table for 3 on a weeknight. Place is nice but the chairs are not comfortable, the whole place can be bigger. Very Preppy looking. Sort of Stuck-up, Snobby place.
I still like my Lombardo's Restaurant. Prices are ok on pizza, too much on the Antipasto but nice presentation.
Waiter was friendly and helpful. He suggested my pizza special. I should of gotten just the Margerita Pizza (just cheese).
All in all, not bad, try this place out once, but now it seems like Vancouver is opening up a lot of these pizza places with the wood brick oven (some not real wood, just gas ovens).
The owners should be Italian not another culture, only if you went to school for this and really know your pizza from Naples.
Just not too comfortable, a little too preppy. Can be a little more friendly. Just ok for me, please try this place though.

I have to say in all the years I have been going to Granville Island Market, Lee's Donuts have always been there and there is always a line-up.
I bought some donuts the other day which I haven't had them for years. I was going to go to Krispy Kremes but someone was saying that Lee's is so much better than them.
I bought a dozen donuts and they were really good. Tasty just like the old days. A little too pricey but it seems like everything is expensive nowadays right.
I like the fact that you can see the kitchen and it's in the open, you can watch them make them outside standing at the window. ( I have to see how clean the kitchen is and the people).
The girl behind the counter did have her long hair down when serving the donuts to me but then she did put her hair up, but please tie your hair up before hand.
Good delicious Donuts, must try place when in Granville Island Market!!!!

I went here after Greek Day on my way home. I thought...hey....I really want pizza from Nat's.....nice ambiance and OK service. The pizza is a little too pricey but you do get a big slice and the crust needs to be thicker and softer.
The one on Broadway is nicer looking than the one on Denman St. All in All not bad place....there is a lot of pizza places out there and I think Nat's is a little different, it's pretty good, got to try this place people!

I tried this place for the first time this year and I have to say that the burgers were great. I do like the fact they cook in front of you. So, you can see if they pick their nose or hair and we all know my friends, in all of my reviews, that's always a NO NO for me.
Service is nice and friendly, not the greatest but ok. The place just needs to be Renovated, it looks like it needs and smells like it too.
The prices are a bit too high, I can't believe how much they charge for a Hot Dog. The fries can be a little bigger but all in all, the food is very good.
The place Just needs a face lift!!

I went here late last night to get some pizza slices.....the pizza did not look so great and a little expensive...you can get cheaper by the slice on Commercial Drive.
Again, I seem to write this in all of my reviews.....please tie your long hair up and after handling money please wash your hands!!!
The pizza was too saucy but all in all not bad. Not like before when it was the original owners. My recommendations are order the whole pizza not by slices.
Nice and friendly service though.

I went there for the first time a few days ago with my girlfriend and first thing I thought of was....oh, no tables just stools....I am not a stool person, hard to sit hard.
Good service.....friendly....the guy at the cash register was telling us what sells and what's popular. The girl next to him had her long hair down and not tied up.
In all my reviews that's a NO NO. Please tie up the hair and wash your hands.
The hot dog was ok.....not really what I expected. I know they use good quality food items but I kind of like the taste better just at Costco....and it's cheaper.
My friend and I agreed on this first time visit!

First time there with my girlfriend and the Restaurant was hard to find, they need to trim some of those trees down so I can see the Pantry sign.
First thing when we went in the Hostess was more preoccupied counting receipts than finding us a table. Table was not clean enough, bottles (HP sauce) were open not twisted closed.
When ordering my coffee there was no small spoon given, I had to stir it with my knife. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich and my friend ordered the Breakfast, the pancakes that came with her order looked like someone took a big bite of it and there was some charred bits from the grill still on it also (GROSS).
She ordered her eggs medium but it came overcook and rubbery. My pulled pork dish was not that great also, when ordering more "endless fries" the waitress gave me an "annoyed" look and it made me feel crappy.
Waitress was extremely slow with drink refills and service!!!
Take our advice.......don't go there!!!!!

Good looking place....the only thing I don't like in this place is it's too Dark. How do people bake in the Dark??
I need to see if there is any hair or anything else when I bake or cook.
The prices are very expensive.... I can't believe how much a slice of pie is. I can make better pies Homemade.
Nice ambiance... a little too small of a place.....when it gets busy, the line up can be nuts.
Service is ok, not the greatest, can be a little cheaper and brighter!
