A restaurant keeps you come back
Submitted Tuesday, July 18, 2006 - 12:33am [Dine in]

This restaurant has been in the area for a long time (over 10 yrs.).Their sashimi and sushi are fresh, and their fish are freshly shipped from Japan every day (according to them). The food tastes very good and they are simply fresh. The variety is good, in fact all the chef is Japanese, I think Japanese food lovers understand the difference between a Japanese chef & a non-Japanese chef, they are very talkative and friendly. The atmosphere is also good, you can invite a guest or choose it as the place for 1st dating. The only negative side is the price, it is a bit too high.

So-so

I went there last night, everything is just so-so. As a Japanese restaurant at this price range, I have many other choices, would not recommend it for crazy sushi-lover like me! The services is not to my satisfactaction, in fact we have been waited for more than 15 min before anyone can see us, they were busy serving other customers. And the freshness of sushi is just so-so, food not very delicious.

I've been there a few times, mostly dinner, twice for their Sunday Dinner buffet. It has never disappointed me, I highly recommend William Tell as a place you invite a guest or simply a family gathering dinner. Great food and great atmosphere! I will definitely come back very often!

Disappointed
Submitted Friday, June 30, 2006 - 2:05am [Dine in]

I went there because I saw a few good reviews about this restaurant, but I was so disappointed that this restaurant is not as good as I thought. The food is just so-so, service is poor, atmosphere is too noisy. Compared to other similar restaurant, I cannot give this restaurant a pass mark.

It is a great restaurant

I've been there many times, this restaurant has many wonderful dishes like Korean BBQ combo, Korean pizza & soups. I recommend their tofu soup as it is one of best soup I have in Vancouver, has a lot of seafood in the soup. I order a tofu soup for lunch and it is way bigger than what I need. The boss is very generous person, he is friendly too, always smiling to customers. I especially enjoy their side dishes, even I go by myself, the boss still give me 4-5 side dishes, and the bill is only around $10, I thought it is good value, try it by yourself!

This little restaurant is closed to my work place, I love their food & services, although place is just decent, I went there average 1-2 times a week, I highly recommend this place. I tried most of their foods, recommend their uni & fish combo, uni is just $2/piece and fish combo is average $7 per person. My colleagues love to take out but I prefer to eat there, because the environment is quiet and warm, the waitress & chef are always smiling, have a strong welcomed feeling.
