Disappointed
Submitted Monday, December 3, 2012 - 10:59pm [Dine in]

Maybe it was an off night but was disappointed with the service and our meals. The chicken souvakli was dry and potatoes over done. We had to ask for tzatziki for our meals. Our salads came on separate plates before our meals along with cold pita bread and tzatziki. Our water glasses were always full and the decor was nice, but still won't be back any time soon.

Great lunch

A few co-workers and I decided to try this restaurant, five minutes from where we work. I had the chicken and brie sandwich with the Hollywood salad - amazing! My friends had the soup of the day - seafood chowder - the best they've had - ever! We loved the decor; the service was great and we've found a new place to get together for lunch. We'll definitely be back!

Service was ok - food was great!

It was a friend's birthday earlier this month and we finally got a chance to get together tonight to celebrate. It was our first time here and it was the second time for our other friend. We started with the antipasto - nice variety. For dinner, I had the chicken breast stuffed a sundried tomato and goat cheese and my friends had linguini with crab and mushroom risotto. Our meals came piping hot (good sign!). We enjoyed our meals but the service could have been better. It was difficult to understand her (no, she wasn't ESL) as her tone of voice gave us the impression that it was a chore to provide a decent explanation when we asked questions about the menu. We'd come back again but hopefully we get a server that understands what good customer service is all about - a smile would have been nice too.

New owners/management ?

My boyfriend and I would go to Gohan every other week for dinner. The servers were always friendly and the service was consistent. One night we came on an unusually busy night. We both ordered our meals and only one meal came. They didn't realize that my boyfriend was eating alone! I don't think they were used to it being so busy as it rarely is ever packed in this restaurant. I figured they had an off night so we tried it again this past weekend. This time we were the only people in the restaurant - strange, since it was the dinner hour. We ordered our meals - I got mine this time! - but was again disappointed. They have raised the prices and lowered the portions. I think they microwaved my chicken before they drizzed teriyaki sauce and honey on top. Needless to say, that was our last time as patrons of this establishment.
