Don't know what to think?
Submitted Tuesday, August 23, 2011 - 5:28pm [Dine in]

My wife and I decided to eat out (I had just come home from work) we decided on Swiss Chalet. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the friendly hostess, she sat us down and a couple minutes later our server came along and greeted us in a pleasant manner. We ordered two bowls of soup (they seemed to have skimped dramatically on the portion) after finishing the soups our server came back with the entrees we ordered. I ordered a Rib combo with a pint of Molson and my wife had ordered a Summer Sensation (with wine).
The food was quite pleasant and the server seemed very prompt and friendly. So on to Dessert, my wife had a big sundae that came with her meal so we shared, it was a good portion. Upon finishing we went up to the bar/counter and waited for our server. Upon waiting for our payment to process we heard someone in a rude manner telling a server that putting that much soup was wasting it and he proceeded to use his voice in an abusive manner in the kitchen. We commented to the server about it and she said "That's our new GM". It was an overall good experience, but the manager was quite abusive and now I know why my soup did not come out full. We will not be returning as we wonder what else he would abusively advise his servers to skimp on.
