Sushi Meal Deal
Submitted Wednesday, July 1, 2009 - 7:03pm [Dine in]

1 House Special = meal for 2 @ $5.50, healthier and cheaper than fast foods any day. You have to try the seaweed and miso with clams, fantastic. Sushi portions are larger than any other sushi restaurant I've been to in the lower mainland. Service is fast and friendly. Only disadvantage is that they only accept cash but for 30 bucks/couple, you'll be stuffed.

Excellent Noodle House
Submitted Wednesday, July 1, 2009 - 6:57pm [Dine in]

When I asked a good friend of mine, where's a good place for noodles in Richmond, he took me for lunch at Pho Lan Beef Noodle Soup, tucked away in the City Center area of Richmond. There is parking and entry from the back of the restaurant. At first glance it looks like it needs some work on the decor, but the noodles, especially the broth was fantastic. If you order the large which cost 7.50, you'll get a bowl that looks like it can easily feed 2-3 people depending on their appetite. There is quite the selection of noodles and other dishes all at a reasonable prices. Vermicelli noodles are mixed with fresh sprouts, cilantro, lemon basil, beef tripe, beef meatballs and slices of beef. Service was efficient and friendly and will definitely be going back.

We've eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants in our life time, some very expensive and some not, but we have never experienced anything as unique as Sen Sushi. The couple who owns this restaurant were extremely friendly. The restaurant was small, but it was very busy with their take out service. From the time we arrived to when we left, there must have been at least 5 different customers that showed up to pick up their orders, all acknowledging the owners on a first name basis. The sushi was extremely fresh and delicious. Their rolls were very creative and unique, and the chef is definitely into trying out new ingredients. We were informed that they are coming out with a new menu of sushi rolls that you won't find in any other sushi restaurant, so we're really excited to get back there to eat again. Everything we had was fantastic, and to top it off, they made us feel right at home. We've definitely found a new sushi place to hang out at.
