I went there with a bunch of friends after coming across this place on the internet. The pictures shown on the web were nice so we decided to check it out.
As we walked in the decor was nice, modern. We were stunned that the place was fairly empty on a saturday night at around 9:30. We sat at the back of the room and the back door near our table kept opening and closing (by smokers?) as they went in and out, and it was so cold that we ended up going back to the coatcheck and getting out coats back. Our waitress said that there was nothing she could do except to give us another table near by which made no difference. Other empty tables were "reserved".
We ordered drinks, and 30 minutes later a bottle of wine came in, and the waitress had such a hard time opening it, it seemed like she had never done it before.
Food was terrible. My advice: if you don't know how to prepare a duck do not serve it. My portion of it smelled quite badly, and the skin looked like it was just poached. The texture was rubbery, and did I mention the smell..this bird was definitely not fresh, or it was simply an old aged duck.
One thing we did like was the DJ and the music was good.
We left hungry, and dissatisfied with the slow unprofessional service. Prices were ok only if items on the menu were properly prepared and served as they should be.
I doubt I will go again. There are definitely better places with the same idea in Vancouver worthy of my money!
