I went to this restaurant without knowing anything about it. The food was very authentic. Also the restaurant was full of japanese speaking patrons. Everyone seemed to have the barbecued black cod on their table. My boyfriend and I shared the black cod, a california roll with real crab, ohitashi, and the spicy tuna sashimi. I would go back for the spicy tuna sashimi alone. Excellent fare. I highly recommend this place for quality, authentic Japanese food. I can't wait to eat my way through the menu.

The food here is very fresh and yummy. As well, the staff, many of whom have been employed at this restaurant for over 15 years are very friendly and willing to speak with customers in both english and cantonese. While the decor may be lacking in style, the restaurant wins me over when I look at all the tables filled with multi-ethnic friends and families.

Need I say more about the wings than what has already been said? Try the oyster cake, the butter beef, the filet of beef on rice, and anything else on the menu. You can't miss at this place. The Urban Peasant, James Barber, has sited the butter beef as one of the best dishes in the city. I agree. Sometimes I dream about the food at this joint.
The service is effecient, friendly, and no nonsense.
As for the ambience. . .the restaurant is clean and well lit. It's not romantic but I don't care when the food makes me swoon.
