Pinpin Restaurant6113 Fraser Street, Vancouver
sarup-sarup
Submitted Friday, December 7, 2007 - 8:43pm [Dine in]

everytime I've eaten at PinPin, I've had a great taste experience. The food is served family style, everyone gets a taste of each dish. We always order the Beef Short Rib, Sinigang with Hipon, Laing, and Lechon Kawali.

Of and for dessert we ALWAYS share halo-halo. A good thing about their halo-halo is that they serve it with ice cream AND UBE!!! yum yum!

Amorosa Pasta House7874 Edmonds St., Burnaby
nice lil Italian spot
Submitted Wednesday, July 12, 2006 - 1:27am [Dine in]

Amorosa Italian Restaurant is a nice little Italian Eatery. I like them because they give you a free pasta on your birthday and have wicked Garlic Bread. I have been going here for about 10 years now and I have to say that it's as good now as it was then.

The best thing on the menu is the Hot Chicken Ceasar Salad. It is amazing!!

It's a good idea to make reservations for busy nights as I have seen line ups.

it's alright

I have to agree with the other reviewer, the cheese bread was awfully greasy. It was so greasy that the crust was soft. My boyfriend, who is a steaklover, dove into the huge porterhouse steak he ordered. I tried the filet mignon with a gorgonzola cheese topping. Not my cup of tea. Actually, I told the waiter that I don't like stinky cheese but he suggested it anyways. probably won't go back

Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar1079 Mainland Street, Vancouver
Nice place, bad taste
Submitted Monday, March 13, 2006 - 1:37am [Dine in]

This restaurant is the epitomy of a stylish restaurant that serves blah food. I understand that these Yaletown restaurants have to be trendy and upscale to attract customers, but I think that their food must also taste good. I went to glowbal in 2003 for a christmas party and I have to say the food was not good. Their martinis were awesome, they have a nice litchi flavored one. The ambiance was very good. I was with a party of about 30 people and I don't think any of us have gone back.

Amarcord Restaurant1168 Hamilton Street, #104, Vancouver
My Favorite Italian Restaurant
Submitted Tuesday, January 17, 2006 - 11:02pm [Dine in]

I absolutely love Amarcord!! I first read about this restaurant on mybc.com when they had a food section. It is famous for its gnocci. While I have never had these potato filled dumplings, I have had the risotto, anglotti and the creme brulee is so wonderful. I would suggest that you call and make reservations as we have been turned down at the door because it was full. I think they have a coupon in the entertainment book and they also do the dine out vancouver thing so make use of those specials as the meals are a little pricey.

Sweet Crepe House
Submitted Tuesday, January 17, 2006 - 10:58pm [Dine in]

Everytime I go to Whistler, I eat at the crepe house. It's a tradition to eat there before we leave. It's the best part of the trip. You can get savory or sweet crepes. If you aren't feeling up to eating crepes, you can get the regular breakfast foods like pancakes and waffles. It's a little small and sometimes you have to wait, especially if you are trying to seat a large group. But it's definitely worth the wait!!

Simba's Grill7413 Edmonds Street, Burnaby
Tasty African/Indian Fusion
Submitted Tuesday, January 17, 2006 - 10:56pm [Dine in]

Simba's Grill is a great restaurant for the seasoned foodie. On the menu are authentic Indian/African foods. The food is pretty spicy, so make sure you ask the waitress to water down the spice if you can't handle it. On some nights there is live entertainment. Make sure you call ahead and make reservations. The restaurant is small and sometimes is booked for private functions.

Really Good Food
Submitted Tuesday, January 17, 2006 - 10:52pm [Dine in]

I just love Tropika. I go there every so often, when I am in the mood for spicy coconut curry. A favorite of mine is the green coconut curry with seafood paired with coconut rice. For starters, try the Malay bread, it is awesome. and for dessert, one cannot go wrong with the deep fried banana with vanilla ice cream. You should go here before you start your diet!!!

Good From Far But Far From Good
Submitted Tuesday, January 17, 2006 - 10:49pm [Dine in]

The decor, lighting, service and overall appearance of this restaurant suggests that the food will be of equal excellence. However, it is quite disappointing. Milestones is definitely a last place finisher in terms of the large chain restaurants. If there is an Earls, Red Robins, Boston Pizza, Whitespot or even a MacDonald's nearby, eat there instead.

Great Noodle Soup
Submitted Tuesday, January 17, 2006 - 10:43pm [Dine in]

I first at a bowl of pho at Pho Hong in 1999 and have been going there ever since. I eat here with my family at least once a week. They soup is very good and so is the lemongrass chicken and beef. I have introduced this pho place to a lot of my friends and they have all become regulars.
