Overall, The food is really good and the selection is very great and the waitresses and waiters are really friendly. Their oyster motoyaki are mediocre tho, but they offer many things that normal all-u can eat dunt offer, so its good for ppl who has never tried any Japanese food that are too exotic. Do try their lobster and chopped scallop susi, they overflow the sushi with very yummy lobster and scallop meat. I have never tried the more expensive menu, but I am looking forward to trying it. I go there every Friday and I am still not sick of it!

yah, i agree with the last 2 reviews that the food is decent but really, compared to other Japanese restaurants that offer all-u-can-eat, the food dunt really stand out or anything as a lot of restaurants offer the same grade food these days in Vancouver. Ebisuya has a limited selection and a lot of restrictions. I mean, if you're paying about the same price, y not visit other Japnanese restaurants which offer the same quality of food, much much bigger selection, and much X 100 better service! I have seen the waitresses turn down orders on the 2nd order and those ppl were complaining. we were never 'hard' on the waitresses , mind u, and they are not stressed ( we ordered like twice on many occasions, they skip orders and stuff, so how stressed could they be?) they are just trying to get the most of our money's worth by serving less food than what one ordered originally, and refusing orders. I mean, I wasnt being rude, I eat everything clean b4 I made my orders and everytime i'm there, they stop me and my friends from ordering more even on the 2nd order and took our menus away on 3rd order. the table next to us, had one oyster motoyaki each and they were like complaining about never going back again. I honestly gave them time to improve as I visited them a year after my horrible experience with them. I dunt eat much, but I love oysters, (they dunt stop u from ordering sushi tho strangely and they certainly put extra rice in there for u -_<). I have been to a lot of Japanese restaurants and I am not being biased, but they never ever stop u from ordering or give u dirty looks or talk behind ur backs to the guys at the sushi bar. Really y pay just as much to be treated like dirt even if the food is great, u'd have no appetite.
