been here about 8 times this year, on 3 of the occasions with entertainment coupons.
I like to base a review on many visits, not one.The cove has always been consistantly
good food in what i would call a up scale pub for kitsilano. It never seems to be to busy
and i have noticed it is quiet in comparison to many other pubs in the area.
I continue to return and plan to. Would like to see a better beer special would be a idea
as many pubs have on w broadway-nearby.
Good upscale pub,

Have been here twenty times or so, over the past two years and all experiences have been
This is a breakfast and lunch place, as they close at 5:30 so dinner is not really an option.
I continue to return for decent breakfasts and Chinese lunches rangeing from 4.00 to 7.00
in price. You are not expected to tip as you order at the kitchen yourself. The owner and his
wife are hands on and polite when taking and serving orders.
For the price of meals, great location , I continue to return.
Add the WonTon soup for .75, why not, it is good.

Again as with all of our reviews,we write one on many visits, not one. I have eaten here thirty or so
times in the past ten years. The results are consistant.
When people think " mexican " in Kits they think of this restaurant. There is no reason for that as
there is atleast five more within a walk or short drive.
This is the reality. Average service, never poor, never good. Busy with line ups on a regular basis.
Once seated you will find it hard to communiate because of noise. Extra charge beyond the first
tiny portion of chips ans weak drinks over and over.
This restaurant reminds me of a "earls" or any other food chain business. It's just standard and
average. Food Factory for inexperinced folks.
My opinion, there is better Mexican in Kits. Where? Topanga.

Like all of our reviews we have usually many experiences before submitting an opinion. I have been
here a couple of dozen times despite being dissapointed the majority of the time,I return because
of walking convience.
The most consistant thing about the Begal is the worst service of any establishment on W. Broadway.
I do find the seating and ambiance pretty good, but very poor value on food items. For example, twelve
dollars for a tiny ceaser salad, better deal at portions at the Hotel Vancouver.
I have offered my opinions to the servers when they are not socializing with friends, but to no evail.
For our pub option we now walk to Elwoods or the Fringe.
Take a pass for sure.

Over the past ten years we have eaten here a ton of times. I find this restaurant consistent in great service
with pleasent surrondings. The food quantity is excellent with average quality. Great drink specials, not
nonsense 14 onze sleeves but the real 20 onze mugs. ( wednesdays) . Sometimes we share the medium
pizza with a ceaser salad for 22.00. One area for improvement is the ribs need to be tenderized more and
they go ultra heavy on the garlic. Im in on this one.

Again, we write our reviews on many experiences, not just one. We eat here approx four times yearly and
the results are the same. Way above average food quality with poor service to accompany it. Pleasent
ambiance and good size portions. The outdoor patio is great, the food is outstanding, the service (attitude)
is very poor.

we right reviews based on usually dozens of experiences at one restaurant. I have eaten at candia likely
twenty times. Alright, it's old school with cramped wooden seats with fake plants(i think) everywhere.
The service is average at it's best and one waitress we compared to the "soup nazi" and friends were actually
intimidated by her. At the end of the day, I must voutch for the food, in my many trips the soup, ribs and lamb
are outstanding. So we return. Oh, old fashoined twenty once beer mugs to. Im in one this one.

We live it Kits and eat out all the time. This one is not one of my favourtites but we attend four times
yearly or so. My experiences have all been consistant. The restaurant is very large and I have never seen
it even 30% capacity. There is no question it is very clean and the food is pretty good. All of our experiences
there have just been allright. My one complaint would be small portions. My opinion, try it with a coupon and
judge for yourself.

Have not eaten here several years ago and recall dark chicken meat, it took me some time to try it again.
I did use a Entertainment book coupon and went once more. There was no issues with the coupon and
the service was fine. We decided on no drinks and we were not hasstled about this. The food was actually
pretty good. We were almost the only customers as I have noted walking by that 30% occupency is busy
for this restaurant. The service and food were fine this go-around.
Oh- again the chicken burrito was dark meat, but was fine. We decided we will go back without a coupon.

I must have eaten here honestly 100 times over the years, I have always enjoyed every bite of food and
don't recall any service issues. I crave the homemade chips and salsa which are complementry unlike
many mexican restaurants. I just don't see how Las Marj, Pepitas, etc.... compare.
I will say that the prices has risen to a point where I debate the value, drinks and entrees are now borderline
too much. It's all good though.
