Every time I open the menu I think to myself that Isami is a touch more expensive than your average sushi place. But the food isn't average at all... it is VERY good. By the time the meal is done I am more than aware that the added quality outweighs the slightly higher price. It's worth it! The secret is out.

The food is quite good. And if you land a window seat, you'll love the view (on a clear day/night). But my struggle is with the service - it is not at the caliber that the restaurant is aiming for. At this price point and intended sophistication, the disconnect is disappointing. My other struggle is the price point of the wine list - a good part of it is VERY inflated. Conundrum - a favourite white - is $86 (liquor stores sell it for $30!). Better restaurants list it for $60. I don't mind dropping coin when it all comes together, but Horizons has left me wanting a few times now.
