Fatburger serving Ricky's Famous Breakfast1995 Lonsdale Ave, North Vancouver
Incredibly poor service!
Submitted Tuesday, January 15, 2008 - 12:51pm [Dine in]

After reading the reviews here related to poor service, I was reluctant to try this place but I really wanted to see what the burgers and onion rings were like so I went anyway. There were only three other customers inside when I entered. Sat down, had a look at the menu, and ordered a fatburger combo with the upgrade to rings and a chocolate shake. Not a difficult order by any stretch. The server entered my order on the computer screen that was no more than two feet away from my table and as she was entering the order, I reconfirmed with her that I wanted the combo with rings and a shake to which she nodded.

Well, can you believe it? My order arrives via a different server and it was a fatburger with fries! I told her that I had ordered mine with onion rings. She gave me a look and said she would deal with it. I could see into the kitchen from where I was sitting but couldn't hear the exchange between her, the cook and the original waitress. The cook dumped the fries, and reached into a bag of frozen rings to take some out.

This is where I got off. I gathered my belongings and started to walk out the door saying, "I have to go."
The server has the gall to say to me, "Aren't you going to pay for your meal?"

I'm sorry, but the idea of hot onion rings and a cold burger did not appeal to me.

And I won't be going back, Fatburger or Ricky's!

Simply the best

We have been fans of good sushi for over 30 years and Hachi Hana is by far the best we have had. To have this fine establishment in our own neighborhood is just a real bonus. There is never a doubt as to the quality of the food every time we eat there. Small inside with limited seating when it's busy but that's the price of popularity. This is the place we think of every time someone asks us for a good sushi restaurant. The owner/sushi chef is a friendly yet humble man, always greeting customers with a warm smile and a happy welcome. Highly recommended!
