Rodney's Oyster House1228 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
Oysters!
Submitted Monday, November 3, 2008 - 10:27pm [Dine in]

Rodney's Oyster House is one of the best restaurants out there with the freshest oysters. They have a great selection of oysters and sauces. Crabs cakes are good but you only get two small patties on a giant bed of salad - kinda expensive. I've been there a few times and the service is alright, what keeps me coming back are the fresh oysters and sauces!

Hot Posh

I've been here a few times for lunch and the food is always fresh. I had my first experience with sukiyaki here and I'm definitely a fan. Dipping the meat into raw eggs was surprisingly very good. It's great how you get to pour in the water and sauce to make the broth to your own liking. I liked how the servers were all fluent in English and the restaurant was very clean. Overall, I was very satisfied - all-you-can-eat hot pot for only $13.88 + $3.50 for bottomless pop! Now that's a good deal!

Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant1128 West Broadway, #201, Vancouver
One of the best All-U-Can-Eat Sushi restaurants out there.
Submitted Monday, October 13, 2008 - 10:48pm [Dine in]

I've been to many all-u-can-eat sushi places and Tomokazu is definitely one of my favourites. Go after 9:30 and it's only about $13. You get a limited amount of sashimi, but it's worth it. Chicken wings, oyster motoyaki, chicken miso, and gyozas were my favourites. Overall, I'm a huge fan of this place. There's good parking - front and back, restaurant is clean, service is fast, and the food is really decent for the price. You get a good selection. If not, you can pay a little extra for the special menu.

Chau Kitchen & Bar1500 Robson Street, Vancouver
Incredible and Delectable

Finally, a modern Vietnamese restaurant with incredible food that is beautifully presented. My favourites were the rice paper rolls, spring rolls, and beef tenderloin. I'm normally a meat eater, but the server got my friend and I to try the vegetarian rice paper rolls and they were awesome! Everything tasted really authentic but with a twist. I had this green ice cream for dessert. It was amazing! CHAU is a new addition to Robson Street so the staff wasn't on top of everything, but I think their hospitality and restaurant ambiance made up for it all.
