The bottled applejuice was nice. Otherwise, there was a whole list of little things that ticked me right off.
water tasted like sour milk
'fresh fuit' = a slice of kiwi and a slice of orange
the croissants were costco-ish
one peice of bacom on my sandwich was burnt, the other undercooked.
"their own" hashbrowns are definatley generic. Little cubes of potato that you get in the frozen packages.
very sparing with the hollandaise
blueberries in the blueberry pancakes were froze, therefore leaving the pancakes RAW in the middle, like, liquidy raw.
Safeway discount cheese
The muffin on display was from costco. Those are not hard to spot.
We got the wrong eggs benny order. Hubby is not a fan of veggies and orders accordingly, but this time he got a big hunk of tomato.
We went there in the first place because it looked like a cute place to have some brunch. Like they say, looks arent everyting. Major overhaul needed on this place and it could have the potential of a high-end bistro.

I had breakfast at elements this morning. We (party of 2) arrived at aproximately 11:30am and waited about 15 minutes for a table. Not bad.
Small place, great atmosphere, decent servers. The juice is worth it for sure, its fresh squeezed and depending on the seat you are at you can see the manual juicer.
Caramalized Banana and Pecan stuffed french toast ++++++++++
Decent portions, decent service, good food!
Dinner for 2 with juice: 37.50
If you have the money, I recommend this place :)

Took my 10 year old daughter, 38 year old boyfriend and 48 year old mother to Horizons. I have been to this place a few times and have never been dazzled, but there was a coupon for 24.00 off so we went. Waiter had a strange tone when my mother said just soup was fine (she is tiny). Mom said the coffe was good, b/f said the steak was fantastic, mom was happy with the soup, daughter very happy with the meal... my rainbow trout wasn't very tasty so I asked to have it replaced with arctic char. My request was not met gracefully. In the end I got the char, but there was a rolled up peice if plactic wrap in with the fish/sauce. Fish overall was good though. I was not able to eat with my family, I ate well after everyone finished.
They did not charge me for either entree. All in all, waiter Mark delt with the situation ok, not amazingly. Lee the 'bus boy' was attentive and quick. Service and food quality was just not up to par for the prices. Our meal still came up to 80.00. We did not get to use the 24.00 coupon.
If they lowered their prices by 10.00 per entree, it would be a good place for the $. Unfortunately, Boston Pizza on Gilmore and Lougheed offered better communication/service than Horizons.

Made reservations for my hubbys b-day. Stopped by before hand to set up arrangements for staff to put gifts in the limo I had ordered when it arrived. This was not a problem and the lady and gentleman who helped me out were AWESOME and VERY friendly. I tipped the lady who was very good to me 20 for her help. As for the food, my hubbys steak was great. The appys need al ittle more description on them, and my steak was a little blah. Mashed potatoes had far too much garlic on them.
For the price, the food was so-so. Service was GREAT and the environment was awesome too.
Cheese plate was yummy and the ice wine was super good. bill came to 250 for
2 glasses of wine
1 2oz glass of ice wine

not a bad place for sushi. Its pretty good food and decent pricing. The service is a little lax and needs some improvement, otherwise its fine.
The place is REALLY tiny though, so dont go there if you are a bigger kinda person

This place was AWESOME! The 12 course dinner I ordered was superb and the service was amazing. At the time of my visit i was a smoker and asked where I could get some near by. The server asked what kind and brough me 4 cigarettes on a plate!
This is not a place for the light-walletted!!! I spent 700.00 on 3 people for a 3 course meal each, wine pairing, other cocktails etc. Keep in mind I went all out with specialty shots and left a 100.00 tip but if you are light on funds skip this place for now, but when you have the cash GO!

You get to chose whats in your dish so you can't really complain about the food! I thought that guessing the price of your meal for a 15.00 gift certificate was cool, but not something you want to incorporate into *most* first dates. Seating was fine, good was good because I got to chose what it was and price was decent.
BEWARE! Keep in mind that your eyes are often bigger than your stomach! You can always go back for 2nds :)
