Ordered deep fried prawns, (huge and overbattered but very tasty sweet/sour sauce...not too glutinous), crispy chow mein (charge me extra for 'crispy'? "we use different sauce for that..." OK) and something else. Can't remember. It wasn't a memorable meal, but the portions are HUGE...I mean LARGE. Overflowing! The taste is very decent, definitely edible. I really wish Chinese restaurants would clean their shrimp before using them in dishes...it's just gross to see the poop line on the shrimp when you're chowing down. Yuck. You can even buy the shrimp deveined! But for the overall value and taste and takeout Chinese craving kicker, Richman Restaurant does deliver! I would try them again...maybe a couple more times. Until I find something better!
OMG. Have you ever been to Seattle for pizza? Garlic Jim's? Jet City? If only I had some money to start a franchise, I could make a FORTUNE. BC Sucks in pizza making abilities...don't get it. Everywhere is tasteless, floury dough crust, no flavour in the sauce,...bland bland bland with sometimes too much crap on it. This is Bella Pizza. Too much crap on the pizza, and undercooked, and tasteless. I don't get these ppl that think this is good pizza! Please go try pizza down south...and then compare. I wish we had Cdn franchises up here...rats. Ricardo's PIzza in Abby is not too shabby...
If you like good Thai food, you're hard pressed to find it in New West. Pattaya is OK,...portions are small. Go Thai is messy, portions are small, and they use too much sauce! But flavour is OK. That's about it, all just OK. Great Thai food is downtown, unfortunately...or Chili House in Chilliwack. Or Seattle. Sorry.
OK. I love Chinese food. I have had a LOT of Chinese food. This was by far the most disgusting place I have ever ordered from, and I'm not talking I only eat chicken feet and 'authentic' dishes...I like some almond chicken and deep fried prawns once in awhile, as long as it's GOOD. This place had the WORST chow mein, that was so minimally 'cooked' it still smelled like the plastic bag the noodles had been taken out of. The sweet and sour pork that my husband usually loves from (Lee Yuen, Surrey), was laden with thick goopy disgusting sauce that had tiny minefields of 'meat' filled with gristle...ABSOLUTELY Repulsive! DO NOT eat here. Do not waste your money, go and get a burger from Wendy's. OR go get some GOOD Chinese food, from Flamingo House on Cambie, or Lee Yuen in Surrey. GROSS. Threw everything out. GARBAGE.
