Tastes good to me!
Submitted Friday, May 13, 2011 - 11:39pm [Dine in]

So I was here a few days ago and gotta say, really good food!

For starters, I recommend ordering the Braised Shortribs (literally melts off the bone) and the Crispy Prawn and Scallop spring roll...sooo good!

I ordered the Jumbo Tiger Prawns for my entree. There's about 6 prawns cooked in a spicy (but not too spicy) coconut sauce and sprinkled with coriander tempura and a side of rice. Pair it with a nice glass of wine and it is absolutely delicious and highly recommended!

I also though the service was good. They even fold your napkin back for you if you step away from your table! How many restaurants do that??

I know the price is pretty steep, but if you're looking for a nice dinner out of town and feel like splurging, go to Goldfish.

At least the service has improved....or was it just the server?

First time we can here was when it opened. Wasn't at all impressed with the server or the food. Had the Pasta package for one and ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo...very bland. And the server seemed like she was on Cloud9 because she pretty much ignored us the whole time.

Gave it another shot today, this time sat in the lounge area (which was nice), I ordered the individual spinach & cheese dip to start, but the flatbread was stale (apparently they had other people mention that as well). I would suggest ordering it with chips instead. They heat them up, and tastes really good with the dip!

Had the Roasted Chicken and Provolone Panini as my entree. Sounded good on the menu, but when it got to my table it was warm and within a few minutes...cold. The chicken was cold and the provolone cheese wasn't completely melted. Not was I expected a Panini to be, so I returned it and didn't end up ordering anything else.

We had a great server though! Her service and attitude compensated for the not-so-good food we've had at ESM.

Maybe third times the charm?

A Treat.

My Boyfriend and I go to Wok Box to treat ourselves. The food is not as cheap, but it's worth it. I usually get the butter chicken which they serve with naan, and I have to say, it's my absolute favorite!

We also like to get the Mongolian beef which we substitute with udon noodles instead of rice...mouth watering. Average meal for 2 people including drinks would be about 30.00. This gives you enough leftover the next day too!

Oh and if you want to try an appy, I suggest the Crispy noodle shrimp. It's actually a big prawn wrapped in noodles, fried and dipped in a szechuan sauce. Yum.

Lack of customer service

I had taken my mom out for what I was hoping to be a nice dinner, instead it ended in disappointment. We ordered pizza (which was ok) and the spaghetti carbonara (delicious, very creamy) but our server never asked how our food was or checked up on us once. And when I asked a question about our food, she looked like I was wasting her time. Once we were done eating (and it was obvious that we were done and wanted our food packed along with the bill), the servers were just passing by us like we don't exist. We were never asked for refills for our drinks or if we wanted desert. When we did get our bill, not even a "Thank You" was said. Nothing.

Needless to say, I will not be returning anytime in the near future.
