Went back to Monks after a couple years to see if it has improved. Three words to describe the food here-- overpriced (small portions), bland and overcooked. My friend had the Salmon, it was dry and tasteless. I ordered tenderloin, which came med-well when I asked for med-rare...
The prices here are that of a fine dining place but it definitely does NOT deliver if you are expecting quality. It's a rip-off!!
People keep talking about the view here, and ya, it's not bad, but the restaurant itself is hideous and stuck in the 70's, so what's the point?

Used to come here often since I live in the area... but after a few disappointing experiences, stopped going altogether!
It is grossly overpriced for the portion, quality and presentation. Not very consistent either.
I'll never forget the one time a female server came to our table w/ mayo on the corner of her lips. EEEW!! and so unprofessional. You're nor gonna get a good service here.

was truly impressed with lovely southeast asian-themed decor. unfortunately, the food and service does not measure up. the place was not busy when we went... only 2-3 other small tables, and yet the server was totally inattentive. decided to get more drinks elsewhere when our server failed to come around to offer another round of drinks after being dry for over 20mins. food is hit and miss, as out of 5 plates only 2 were good (not amazing). it's too bad, we thought this could be one of our new hang-out places.... guess not..
