The same every time.

Every time the staff don't care, look as though they hate their jobs, and hide out in the back once we've ordered. The food is always fine, messy and bland. Don't eat here if you're looking for anything more than a quick meal where no one disturbs you because you won't find it. Its a mess.

Came here on St Paddy's day hoping for some festivity, however they had none of that. We also quickly found out they were not licensed, and our waitress was not interested in waiting on us at all. The food was good, service not so much. It is a chain so it doesn't have a very nice feel to it.

Pretty good mexican food

Having worked at a Mexican food place prior to ever eating here, I have a standard of where I like my food. Not wishing to return to my prior employer for a bite, we tried Playa Tropical. I was delighted to find the salsa roha verde in the bottles were very authentic to third generation Mexcican, and also very good. (The second time we went the salsa roha was not good but verde was still delicious) We ordered the steak sandwich, shrimp quesadilla and two tacos: pork and fish. The steak sandwich was average, but the quesadilla was incredible. Delicious, served with pico de gaillo, guacamole and sour cream at no extra charge was a pleasant surprise. The tacos are small but also very cheap which explains the price, they are all topped differently and are quite tasty.
The waitresses both times we attended the restaurant were not very interested in us and we had to wait quite a while for our bill after finishing our food, but thats what you get when you hire careless teenagers. I will definitely go back and enjoy the much more authentic mexican food in comparison to taco del mar and chronic tacos.

Had a coupon for this restaurant that we've never tried before and I was skeptical, having never tried Filipino cuisine. I opted out of something new and into the chicken penne, while my boyfriend ordered a Filipino dish with chicken and coconut milk. The dish that I had was unique for itself and very delicious. I am not a huge fan of cilantro so I didn't enjoy the garnish however that is just personal. My boyfriends chicken dish was incredible, the next time we go I will be ordering that! For dessert we ordered cheesecake, also outstanding. The desert menu was impressive and I am eager to try one of the traditional Filipino desserts next time.
The waitress explained everything to us that we asked even though she didn't always know the English word. She was very friendly, prompt with drinks and dessert and made the evening enjoyable. The man playing the piano for the restaurant created fantastic music and was very friendly, greeting us as we came and left. Our total bill without the coupon would have came to $40 with dessert and drinks so I was pleased with the value that we got for our money.
