Love The Slocan
Submitted Wednesday, December 28, 2011 - 1:36pm [Dine in]

I live in the 'hood and have always been a fan of The Slocan. The Slocan reminds me of cool tacky Hollywood eateries seen in cinema. I get greeted by Flo the waitress and I order the $4.95 full breakfast spread. At Dinner...get this... Free Range JD Turkey Dinner, with mash potatoes, stuffing, gravy, AND corn with FREE Soup AND JELLO...lol...for $12.95!!! What the HAY!!!! I am seriusly waiting for a price increase any day now..... You gotta check it out for these 2 things alone!!!. Cheap, big tables, no lineups and easily still East Vans best greasy American Spoon.

I Still Love This Place
Submitted Tuesday, December 14, 2010 - 5:12pm [Dine in]

Ive been going to The Main for years, and its still fantastic. I was there twice last week. Monday for $10 pizza and cheap beer and Friday for music. Looks like they have redecorated and its a cool room. Food was solid and service by Main Street girls- down to earth and attentive. A must go!

Disappointed
Submitted Sunday, November 28, 2010 - 9:09am [Delivery]

We ordered 2 keftedes dinners and 2 dips. The delivery was on schedule but they entirely forgot to bring the rice and potatoes for the dinners and the tarama dip! Just imagine trying to have your 'dinner' with out the key sides. The saziki looked strange and tasted stranger. The tarama was soaked in oil and tasted like it was mixed with salmon puree. This place used to be so good. Too bad.
