Go Fish best mid-week
Submitted Tuesday, June 21, 2011 - 4:33pm [Dine in]

Lunched at Go Fish (on the first day of summer) this afternoon. It was a sunny and warm day, people meandering on the seawall, cyclists and dog walkers milling about and a dozen or so patrons at Go Fish either eating or waiting for food. I arrived just after 2:00, waited in line about 2 minutes. The young woman at the cashier was pleasant and cheerful, told me how long my order would take (15 minutes) and confirmed my name twice, telling me they would call my name when my order was ready. There we're a few chairs empty and I noted a number of people preferred to sit on the seawall to eat. Lovely ambiance! Sure enough no more than 15 minutes later my order was ready. My daughter and I had both ordered 2 piece cod and chips. We could easily have shared one order as there was plenty of food. In fact, because some pieces of fish were small, they in fact gave my daughter 3 pieces of fish! The food was spectacular; fish perfectly battered, not too greasy, the chips crisp and perfectly golden. They also offer (for an additional $0.50) extras of tartar sauce, wasabi mayo, prawn mayo. We tried the wasabi mayo..... Delish! Highly recommend Go Fish.... Perhaps a better service experience if you can go early afternoon mid week?
