This place is mainly know for the hot looking waitresses. Everything else is second to that. The food is pretty good, same as all the Cac-tits clubs. This one probably has the best decor and atmosphere.
Good food, good atmosphere, good service. One of the best pubs in town with good food to boot. Love the burgers and the lamb rocks. This place is owned by the same guys as Elwood's but in my opinion is much better run.
Good place for a beer and some live music.
Pizza is not bad, I like the Tank (deep dish pizza) a lot. The rest of the food is mediocre.
The service is really bad, but it is a pub and mainly a student hangout so that's somewhat forgivable. Decent pizza & beer place.
My main comment is that they say they close at 6pm, but I got there at 5:45 and they wouldn't serve me because the girl said that by the time I got to the front of the line it would be 6pm. Give me a break. Do stores that close on the hour not let you in before that because you wouldn't be done your shopping in time? Closed at 6pm means you serve all the customers that arrived before 6pm, you twits.
No kidding - this is my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Surprised that it is not downtown? If you haven't been, give this place a try. I have been several times both on special occasions and just for a nice dinner out, and it has been fantastic every time. I love the food, the room is cosy and relaxing, the service is fast and courteous as it should be, and the food is not overly priced for what it is. Wine list is very good - they have Nota Bene 2004 so who would complain about that.
I generally agree with most of the reviews here - pretty good food for a pub and the service is really quite nice.
One thing to watch out for is a friend was ripped off on his bill here - the total didn't add up correctly, which is odd since it is computer generated. Make sure you double check your total.
This place is good for one thing - best patio location in Kits (well maybe besides Watermark). The food sucks pretty badly, and the kitchen looks super dirty and disgusting. I think they've been shut down for sanitary reasons before. If you just want a beer on the patio in the summer, go here. If you want food, check out somewhere else like Hapa Izakaya across the street or pretty much anywhere else.
I think their pizza is really good, despite the other reviews on here. Service can be hit and miss, depending how busy and which servers are working. I go here quite a bit but usually just for drinks. The yam fries are pretty killer. In summary - Good beer/martini, pizza and burger joint but don't expect 5 star dining (and it isn't priced that way anyways). For what it is I think it is one of the better casual places in Kits - better food than Bimini's across the street (which is now burned to a crisp anyways).
I live nearby, had only been to the Robson location and thought I'd try this shortly after it had been converted from the Urban Well. I was very impressed - the food is really amazing, and good value for your money. The service is decent, not outstanding, but good enough. The decor is very funky and the atmosphere is noisy and fun. Would definitely give it a try if you are looking for something fun and different!
Don't bother. This is the most over-hyped restaurant in Vancouver, if not the country. Our reservation was for 7:45 and we didn't eat until 10pm - that's just for starters. Then, they forgot one of our meals. To their credit, they didn't charge us for that meal - but before that their attitude was entirely unapologetic. The service is horrendous, the waitress didn't know the menu at all. The food was OK, but not stellar given the amount of hype in the magazines. The decor is trying too hard. The chairs suck. They should reduce their marketing budget and invest in some decent service.
