GREAT Food.

The food here is fantastic. If you go, make sure you order the mixed plate. It's a sample of all the cold appetizer items on the menu (Humus, Baba Ganoush, Roasted Red Pepper Spread, Carrots and White Sauce) and a large portion of freshly baked bread. The meat dishes are generally solid and and pizza is OK. The service is very good and the ambiance is better than most.

Great Delivery and Pickup
Submitted Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 5:40pm [Delivery]

Let me be frank, I'm a born and raised Canadian Caucasian, so my idea of 'good chinese food' is a lot different from people coming from an Asian cultural background. With that said, the food at First Choice is great North American Chinese food. Everything I have tried, from the black pepper chicken, to the ginger beef, to the fried rice is excellent fare. Also, it's a solid deal, you can enough food for five big meals for around 28 bucks (with tip). The BBQ pork in honey sauce is also juicy, sweet and tender. Finally, try the spicy pork rolls, they are delicious and cheap (like a buck fifty each). Delivery is quick and the have yet to mess up an order (out of 15+).

Stix Noodle & Grill903 Commercial Drive, Vancouver
An excellent spot to grab a quick bite.

I have tried a number of 'Pho' style noodle restaurants, and far too often I am disappointed with the quality of ingredients. At Stix I have no such worry. It's not often that a restaurant combines fresh ingredients, quick delivery and solid value. The menu is small and efficient, offering a number of Asian-inspired dishes. The noodle salad is delicious and can be bought pre-packaged for lunch the next day. I also like the lemon grass chicken; it's well season and accompanied by rice and salad. However my favorite item has to be the salad rolls. They are absolutely to die for: cilantro, rice noodle, lettuce and optional prawns served with a tangy peanut sauce. The best part is two can dine on fresh, family recipe Asian cusine for under 20 bucks.
