A great place to get tasty Indian food.
Submitted Monday, August 4, 2008 - 8:14pm [Dine in]

I enjoy every visit I have had to this wonderful restaurant. The owner works hard and runs the floor often while the food is always plentiful and delicious. The price seems above par but once you eat the food you won't soon forget it. I strongly recommend the chicken naan and the Lamb Vindaloo although to each their own. Thanks for the upgrade in Indian Cuisine at a reasonable price.

Enjoy!

Test Kitchen + Below Par Service -
Submitted Monday, August 4, 2008 - 8:10pm [Dine in]

I have been to the two Cactus clubs on Broadway many times.

I am always impressed with the speed and quality of food. In particular the food from the test kitchen at Broadway and Ash,

What I can never understand is the totally discrepancy in the level and quality of the service between the two.

At Ash the service is either satisfactory or deplorable... WTF?!?

At the Granville location the service is consistently above average.

Cactus Club... Please help us...

Top Notch for a Great Price
Submitted Saturday, March 1, 2008 - 10:43pm [Dine in]

After Ohaka Sushi went out of business at this location atop the Mac's at Hemlock on W. Broadway Burnaby-based Fish on Rice Japanese Cuisine renovated and brought good sushi back to the variable neighbourhood around Granville and Broadway. Take-out is speedy, Full menu available online.

We had takeout it took no time at all. The interior of the restaurant is great and the variations of All-You-Can-Eat options will satisfy anyone.
We had classic rolls and the food was very good for a great price. I looked at the deluxe ($21) all you can eat menu (Dinner $15-21/Lunch $12) and was amazed at the cool and upscale options in the sashimi department. Strongly recommended for sushi lovers tired of Shabusen's poor service/average food and to poor for Tojo's.

Cheers to the staff who even when hung over are great company and help to make this place worth the wait on a saturday or sunday morning. For consistent food that doesn't dissappoint sit, eat and be merry. To really have fun sit at the bar and try the Kamloops Brewery Beer

After going here for the cheap lunch special and being pleasantly surprised mostly by the price. The food was unremarkable but the options were abundant. I was then very surprised to see such scathing reviews and I am reviewing this place simply to set the record straight. I can't speak for take-out or dinner but for a SOLID LUNCH AT A GREAT PRICE this place is worth it.
