Our first experience at the Lava in Maple Ridge was wonderful. The service was excellent, timely and pleasant. We were made to feel welcome and that we truly were guests. The food was absolutely delicious! Although too full to try dessert, next time we will leave room for it, and there will be a next time.

The presentation of the food was like a picture from a Gourment magazine. It was hot and so fresh you could taste the freshness. For a starter we shared a Breuschetta - we have never tasted anything so delicious previously even though we have had Breuschetta many times in different restaurants. This was fresh, original and the taste of everything blended so well it made you crave for more of the wonderful flavours.

We ordered red house wine to accompany our meal and it was perfect. I had the pork entree and my partner had the lamb shank. We would highly recommend either of these dishes.

The attention we received throughout was just right and not intrusive at all. The manager went from table to table making sure all of their guests were satisfied and enjoying their meals. We will definitely recommend The Lava to our friends.
