You walk in, first reaction- "wow what a beautiful place!", as you proceed to your table, you comment.. "this is going to be great".. You sit down, great atmosphere, but wonder to yourself.. "where are the customers?"... you receive your cutlery and menu and a friendly greet. You look at the menu.. "looks diverse enough, that everyone will be happy"... " gosh i'm starving"... "where is the server?".. "this is getting stupid"... 10 minutes later.. "oh HI can I get the italian personal pizza.." the people around you order.. 45 mins later... dishes start flying out, at different times!! I was almost done my meal before my friend even received his.. not to mention it did not take much more than a few hefty bites to finish what I THOUGHT was going to be a meal. Paying merely $25 for a main and drink, I later took the change from the $30 cash, and went to subway for their five dollar footlong. Absolutely ridiculous.

....................................................Langley is notorious for the number of locations for Sushi Bars. Located within the mix of Sushi bars around Langley, it is worth a trip to find.If you are looking for and well priced sushi bar with decent taste, this will meet your expectations. That's it.

While the customer service may be one of the best, the sushi is definitely not. I love this place, as a place.. not as a sushi bar. The owner posts pictures up of every regular customer to walk in, makes Nikko seem well liked, and welcoming.

It is.

But, the sushi quality. Nothing worth the time. If you are in this area, look behind Nikko to Take Sushi. Where the food portions are a bit smaller, but the food is unreal, with great customer service as well!

While the sushi is top notch, the prices are just not worth it. I am not someone who looks for a bargain, regularly spending money on things without cost as an issue. However, $6.99 for a dynamite roll.. R U KIDDING? While the service matches most sushi bars, my advice is to go next door to Hiro, where price meets quality harmoniously.

The smoothies here are oh-so-good. Always greeted with a smile, the service is great! While if I had one suggestion to give, it would be bring cash; the $4 minimum debit purchase, is just annoying. All in all I understand that small businesses like this need to make money, and their recent update in the decor has not been unnoticed! great job!

Large Dynamite

I can never get enough! If you are a sushi lover like myself, you love huge portions; Hiro Sushi is untouchable in this department. With it's home style feel, they are always welcoming with a smile. The cute couple, always excited to meet and greet you with a hello, are always grateful for your presence.

On to the food. While I have had better tasting rice, Hiro Sushi is still middle of the pack, with a slight blandness setting them back from the leaders. However, their portions are huge! Try the large dynamite roll, it sets you back a mere $7.50, and with 10 already huge pieces, its like a meal in itself. The sushi can fall apart quite easily, depending on the time of day you buy it, which all in all can be a bit frusterating.

While their decor is a bit unsatisfying, Hiro Sushi is known for its home style cooking. If you are hungry and do not want to pay extra for that sushi "experience".. Hiro is the best place, by far, to go in Langley. They will always show you that they are happy you came.
