(2.8) (3) (2.7) (2.7) (3)This has become our regular take out sushi place in the neighbourhood, after trying a few others around Broadway/Arbutus/4th. We usually only order the basic rolls: California, dynamite, spicy tuna, etc, or terriyaki don, but it's always tasty. The food is always ready quickly and we've never had any screw ups with the orders. It's not GREAT, but it's consistently quite good.
I was really excited to try a new Thai restaurant in the neighbourhood, so we ordered take out from Thai Star tonight. The delivery time was super speedy, but I didn't find the food very good. We ordered spring rolls, which were ok; chicken with basil which was ok, but you'd be hard pressed to find any basil; and green curry chicken, which was mostly just spicy and sweet and lacking the usual flavour of a green curry. Serving sizes were generous, with lots of meat, and the price was reasonable, but I just found flavour lacking in the dishes.
Was a bit wary after reading some of the reviews, but went here today for the first time and had fish tacos and they were really loaded (with a double tortilla) and were tasty! The chicken didn't look as good though. Service was fast enough, but there was a bit of face touching and touching of each other (I guess it was a couple serving, not too professional though)
Anyway, overall pretty yummy and price was ok, so I`ll be back!
