Fassil Ethiopian Restaurant736 East Broadway, Unit 5, Vancouver
Great food and very friendly!
Submitted Friday, October 26, 2012 - 9:42pm [Dine in]

We went here based on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. On the advice of our server, we took a combo plate with spicy beef and a few vegetarian dishes. The beef was outstanding and the other dishes were good too.Out server was very welcoming and took the time to explain the menu. When the food came, the cook came out and explained how to eat with our fingers. Our meal for two was $23 total and we couldn't finish despite our best efforts! The restaurant itself is basic with only about 7 tables. We came on a Friday night and it was moderately busy, but never full. We will definitely be back!

Good, reasonably priced take out
Submitted Saturday, September 17, 2011 - 12:29pm [Take-out]

This has become our regular take out sushi place in the neighbourhood, after trying a few others around Broadway/Arbutus/4th. We usually only order the basic rolls: California, dynamite, spicy tuna, etc, or terriyaki don, but it's always tasty. The food is always ready quickly and we've never had any screw ups with the orders. It's not GREAT, but it's consistently quite good.

Thai Star1629 Yew Street, Vancouver
Not the best
Submitted Friday, September 16, 2011 - 9:50pm [Delivery]

I was really excited to try a new Thai restaurant in the neighbourhood, so we ordered take out from Thai Star tonight. The delivery time was super speedy, but I didn't find the food very good. We ordered spring rolls, which were ok; chicken with basil which was ok, but you'd be hard pressed to find any basil; and green curry chicken, which was mostly just spicy and sweet and lacking the usual flavour of a green curry. Serving sizes were generous, with lots of meat, and the price was reasonable, but I just found flavour lacking in the dishes.

Good tacos
Submitted Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - 4:47pm [Dine in]

Was a bit wary after reading some of the reviews, but went here today for the first time and had fish tacos and they were really loaded (with a double tortilla) and were tasty! The chicken didn't look as good though. Service was fast enough, but there was a bit of face touching and touching of each other (I guess it was a couple serving, not too professional though)
Anyway, overall pretty yummy and price was ok, so I`ll be back!
