Bad Indian food with a complimentary staple pin in the food
Submitted Thursday, September 15, 2016 - 7:31pm [Delivery]

I am a regular at this spot I usually order delivery but have been there umpteen number of times. The place is dinghy not very clean but since I loved the food I ordered instead if going there. Since the owner and I are from the same city I like the food there, however for the last few times we ordered the food wasn't good. I called the owner and he explained the chef was new etc and u said no problemo. I ordered food last night and it came unusually fast, hmm I thought! My and my girlfriend starting eating and the food seemed as if it was some
Leftover from an Indian buffet, slimy and not tasty it smelt weird, so I thought intake the last bite and call the owner the next day (As they were closed), however my last bite was the nastiest where I bit on a staple pin and it felt as if I had broken my tooth!! Was very painful so I called the owner next day and informed him about it reminding him that once I found a nail from a kitchen appliance in my food. Since we are from the same city I thought it was a genuine mistake but this is not the first time and the food is REALLY bad now unlike before!! Real bad value for money and crappy food as the owner doesn't simply care

Wanna burn money?
Submitted Saturday, April 30, 2016 - 10:15pm [Delivery]

So me and my gf decided to order from the fish shack pay a premium for delivery , since my gf is a pescatore I reluctantly agreed knowing very well that most sea food restaurants don't deliver!! So we ordered a bunch of food seafood stuffed mushrooms, the rock crab jalapeƱo
Poppers (absolutely no sign of crab,ZILCH and you charger 10 bucks for 5 half poopers half filled with cream cheese?), the seafood melt ( this one is the best..big toast lotsa butter but hardly ANY seafood filling OMG even a Chinese restaurant would do better), seafood cannelloni (3 pieces of narrow cannellonis filled with you guessed right...HARDLY ANYTHING) and the fish shack fried rice (should be served as an appy minus too much salt)..

Hey blokes if you guys want real seafood this is NOT the place unless you have MONEY TO BURN

Bad food rude service
Submitted Wednesday, November 4, 2015 - 1:06am [Dine in]

I went there with my gf and her folks got some good Indian on Davie as we heard!! Big big mistake as the food was the crappiest Indian an Indian can eat!! The samosas were unsalted and bland and the prawn killed a was soggy over cooked prawns
And cold! SURPRISING!

The main course which included a chicken dish, lamb and fish were just BAD. I was so disappointed that I did tell the server and he was so rude about it (said go somewhere else) inspite of the whole place being empty the people were not accommodating (no wonder it was empty)!!

Bad overpriced and under serviced food! Please never go!!

Crappy Delivery & Mouthy Service
Submitted Sunday, March 16, 2014 - 10:03pm [Delivery]

My GF & I ordered delivery and the person answering our phone informed us that we had 2 free miso soups as they messed our order up. I was glad and placed a lengthy order and the lady informed me she won't mess our order this time and repeated the order like thrice, I felt comfortable in knowing that this time the meal will be simply perfect! However to my surprise the soups were cold, the tako yaki was like cold pucks, the spicy agedashi tofu was which is deep fried was stone cold n soggy. The spicy wild salmon was plain farmed salmon (I was charged for the wild salmon). My Gf was hungry so she pecked at a few things and upon calling them they just started arguing and told us not to order from there again.

Is it too much to ask for what you pay in this country? I hate stereotyping but some people need to admit their mistakes and make up for it rather than being abusive!!

Ordered food for delivery and thought website and flyers say the place is open till 11, however they were not enthusiastic at 9pm to take my order stating they wanted to shut early as it was empty. Though my GF told me to pass I kept the faith and ordered. I spoke to Siddhartha himself and when the order was placed i noticed it was more than what I usually pay. Upon asking him he stated he stated he had a new menu, suppliers, etc (blah blah blah) and assured me I was getting the best of it. I noticed my menu flyer had a 5 free samosas coupon upon an order of over 35 but he said that was not valid as he changed the menu. I ordered 2 portions of gulab Jamuns which is usually 4 a portion, thus making it 8. And so the delivery guy arrived and gave me the food and the menu with the same prices but siddhartha thought it was fine to charge me more and then tells me his guy made a mistake. Food came I noticed the take out portions were smaller than usual, the food was as expected, however there were 3 samosas instead of 5, 4 gulab jamun instead of 8 and upon confronting him he started arguing and gave some really bizarre reasons. ALL I ASKED WAS TO DELIVER WHAT WAS ADVERTISED AND ACCORDING TO THE PRICES HE PRINTED. I HATE LIARS AND EVEN MORE PEOPLE WHO JUSTIFY THE LIES!!

I go there often and simply love the pho. The place is dingy and the servers never smile, seems more like an assembly plant. But the food is beyond this planet..........I usually order spring rolls a chilled beer and the no 2 which I think is spicy broth and lean beef, you can add tripe if you want to and meatballs too..........

Awesome Food

I took my girlfriend for a romantic dinner here and it was awesome. We ordered a bottle of light bodied Pinot Noir and ordered some dungess crab croquottes. Loved it!!! My girlfriend ordered duck which was great and I ordered a 12oz tenderloin which ruled the roost.

You can never go wrong with O'DOuls.....I will surely be there soon:)

Submitted Monday, January 19, 2009 - 6:29pm [Dine in]

I went there yesterday with my girlfriend and as alwayss I love their seekh kababs (beef). Their chicken karahi rocks too. I have no complaints with the food, however the place should be more hygienic. So take out is better than eating in as the owner will try to talk to you and then I hate playing u peep I peep while I am eating.

Disappointing
Submitted Monday, January 19, 2009 - 6:21pm [Dine in]

I went there over the weekend with friends and ordered the noodles in the sea food broth, however it was utterly disappointing as it was bland and the seafoof and meat were like condiments. The gyozas were crispy on the bottom and soft on the inside, if only they were more filling.Alas!!!! The rice bowl looked attractive however the feast for the eye didn`t turn out a feast for the stomach. I don`t think I will ever recommend this to anyone.

Misadvertising & rude service
Submitted Saturday, January 10, 2009 - 7:11pm [Dine in]

I went to Dai Sushi with my girlfriend and the biggest mistake I made was that I didnt read the review for it. This place is really bad with very rude servers who dont listen. We ordered a appys which we asked earlier, however this server gets the sushi first. Then we order one of the special rolls under whose pic it says 8 pcs. The waitress gets it and it is only 5 pcs. So I ask her where are the other 3 and she says there is a mistake in the menu. It is actually 5 pcs. I was like I ordered the roll thinking it was 8 pcs as I didn't wanna fall short. This server started disputing and hurling abuses is some asian language. I will never ever go there and advise any sushi lovers to avoid this dreadful joint.

Never Go!!
Submitted Wednesday, December 24, 2008 - 4:36pm [Dine in]

This is probably the harshest thing I have ever said. When my girlfriend and me went to rakuraku it was kinda empty. We sat and the complimentary dish came, was fine and I ordered beer. So we chatted and ordered food, while our food was being served the restaurant was getting busy. A bunch of fat korean guys came looking for a place to sit. They saw us and told the waiter to ask us to move to a smaller table. So while my girlfirend and I were eating, this stupid waitress and her partner come and ask us to move while we were eating our fcukin dinner. I was zapped and lost it. I asked for the check packed my food and left. Fcukin preposterious, never want to ever go there. The worst experience I have had. Please dont go!!!!
