We actually tried to come for dinner on Tuesday however that was the one day of the week where they are closed at 3pm. So we decided to come back this Friday based on the review from this site.
This is the cleanest vietnamese restaurant that I have been to in Vancouver. The service was excellent. The food came really fast and was piping hot. I would highly recommend this place if you are ever around the area.
You can always depend on receiving top notch service and food here. The servers know their product and have no problems helping you out if you ever need a suggestion on what wine would be ideal. No matter how busy they are (full dining room at lunch time), the food is cooked to perfection. They always serve a little dessert and a little plate of chocolate crocodiles at the end which is a nice touch. I highly recommend this place. Make sure you make a reservation to ensure you won't be disappointed if you can't get in because they do get busy.
A little pricy but well worth if if you are hungry. Service is fast and unlike some AYCE places , whatever you order you will receive. They also include uni on the AYCE menu for those that enjoy it. I noticed all other places always charge extra for this. There's also a good variety for those that are not into raw food.
Based on the reviews here, we thought we check out this place out. Got here a little after 8pm on a Sunday and there was three occupied tables and the rest of the tables were not cleared. We thought wow this is a pretty popular joint! One of the servers (there's two of them) cleared a table off for us. By the time the other server came by to ask us what we wanted to drink, (tea should be automatic) we were ready to order. The server went to make some tea (I guess they just ran out) and came by to give us our tea as well as the next table, again we indicated we were ready to order. Long story short, from the time she took our order, which were three bento boxes and a sunshine roll, it took them about 27 minutes to get us the miso soup that came with the bento boxes and then over 15 minutes to get the actual entrees. This is not Lumiere and we did not expect this long to get dinner at a sushi restaurant. It's not like they were busy at this time either, there was only three other tables that were still there. We overheard the two other tables had issues. One didn't receive one of their orders and the other was given a dish that was deep fried even though they specifically asked if the item was deep fried. The one thing the servers were good was going around refilling the tea. As for the dirty tables, when they finally decided to clear them off they piled all the dirty dishes to one table. Interesting. Everything was slow and inefficient here. Can't imagine what the service is like at dinner or lunch time. Food was okay if you like your sushi served on dishes that's still wet with water. Even when you ask for the bill, it was slow coming...wow.
