The first time we headed to Deacon's corner, we obviously arrived too late - the wait was more than our appetites could have borne. But we went early today. In the West End, 11am is 'the' time to meet for brunch. In Gastown, it seems to be just before 10am. Thankfully, we managed to get a seat, as the place was packed by the time our food arrived.
Our waitress was prompt and attentive - not overly friendly, but certainly efficient. The portions were generous; I usually don't leave anything on my plate, but the Sausage & Biscuits was just a bit too much for me! The bottomless cup of coffee is always a blessing on a Saturday morning, and I love the cheery atmosphere of this place.

I would not have expected much from a hotel restaurant, but I was absolutely delighted with my experience here. The food was excellent - we got a pre-meal sample from the chef (Popcorn Shrimp with Thai Sauce), and the food was superb. Quality was on par with any high-end restaurant, but there was more food on the plate than one might find elsewhere.
Our server was fantastic - friendly, attentive, and interested. We came to celebrate my partner's birthday, and got a free dessert as a result! I would highly recommend Medley's for something reasonably priced, and delicious!
