My husband and I have driven past All Thia'd up for more than sometime. We have always said we wanted to try it but have our "favorite" resturants we love to indulge in. My husband was top of his class in the Culinary Program at Malaspina College, Nanaimo, BC. WE LOVE TO EAT!! More importantly, we have a passion for trying new foods and resturants. Like any couple we get tired of ordering the same old thing.
Tonight, we ordered out from All Thai'd Up! (Firday night). After reading the negative reviews I was hesitant because I HATE TO BE DISSAPOINTED! We decided to order our food to go, we were told on the phone it was a 25 minute wait and that is exactly what it was! It was not that busy in the actual resturant, but my husband said it sounded busy when he called in the order. The host was nice and polite and made the transaction smooth. We ordered the Gaeng Dang: Red Curry #18 and Satay #1 and one Rice Pilaf because it had such praise by all reviewers. It was phenomenal! The Red Curry dish was awesome, we ordered two, one for each of us and it was very spicy dispite it being medium spiced, but as you eat it gets less spicy? (I was worried it would'nt be hot enough)....Needless to say it was perfect! Be prepared though, it is very spicy (make sure you order the rice with it). The satay was great! Yes, the peanut sauce was thick but it was yummy; and was a perfect match with the spicyness of the Curry. The portions were great we filled up on what we ordered and we both didn't finish.......Untill later that night;) Our bill was $38.00. I know what everyone is thinking maybe the owner is writing these good reviews. I am here to tell you that this is a real review. I was very extactic about the food. I used to eat Thai all the time and my husband and I have eaten at Go Thai in New West. THIS PLACE IS MUCH BETTER! WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED!!! YUM. We will be there again All Thai'd Up;) O and BTW the inside of the restaruant was CUTE and COZY! Not sketchy, or run down at all!
