we went for a family dinner at tsukiji restaurant and everyone left in a bad mood. i personally do not have great expectations when i go to a japanese/chinese restaurant, i was just hoping to go out and have a nice time with the rest of my family. unfortunately, the service offered at tsukiji is sub-par at best. the items we ordered literally came ONE BY ONE in 15 minute intervals, the waitresses did not offered any kind of explaination. we all got kind of sick of waiting around for the next dish. finally, when i decided to just cancel our orders and go (after more than an hour), i was ignored by one of the waitresses and obviously our dishes came soon after i asked to cancel! BOTTOM LINE: the food is okay but not so good as to compensate for the poor service, it's almost as if they don't care about service. it maybe an exception but if you're looking for a nice dinner, tsukiji should not be your fisrt choice.
