I had the calamari to start, which was pretty good......my entree, the curry chicken & rice was actually the same size as the appy calamari...also pretty good but I don't think it was worth what I paid for...had the mango juice to drink...I was expecting a nice cold refreshing drink...but it was probably from a can and was kinda warm...
WARNING:prices on the menu might NOT be what they charge...someone in our party noticed that everything we ordered was almost a dollar more then what was on the menu...when we asked the waitress what was going on she said that they raised the prices but didn't have time to re-write the menus...we obviously complained and they gave us the original prices...
The entertainment is pretty good...the night I was there they had this really cute young girl sing a couple of songs...her voice was very mature for her age...Salve, the owner, is also a singing teacher and has some of her students perform @ the restaurant...
I'd recommend this place for the singers/band, but probably not for the food service...
Went to this restaurant a couple of days ago for a friend's bday...was NOT impressed at all...the plate sizes are appy/tapa size with entree prices...some of the couples thought they'd get 2-3 plates and share...when they got their food there was probably enough for 1 person...many of them had a order a 4th dish...for example, the chicken mole was I think $12 and all it was was one tiny drumstick and small thigh with sauce...I paid $25 for my meal...$12 for a small piece of mahi mahi and salsa/sauce &$3 for a small circle of mexican rice...the only good thing about my meal was the dessert...had the crem de leche, or something like that...definitely flavorful, it was also small, but the price was around what you'd normally pay for a dessert $6...
I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN...
I've been here a couple of times. Nothing to complain about. Food is good, prices are ok. They have a room in the back if you're planning on having a big party. Nice to have some privacy from the rest of the restaurant.
What makes this Japanese restaurant different from all the other all you can eat places is the service! Waiters always make sure your glasses are full...plates are taken away as soon as you're done with them...and they seem to be "right there" when you want to order more...the food is excellent...although I was a lil disappointed they changed the way they make their teriyaki chicken (the new way isn't bad, just not as good as they old way)...prices for all you can eat are also very reasonable...
Definitely a weird place for a restaurant...I can see how people who do not live in New West can get lost trying to find this place...
I've been here a couple of times and have always been pleased with the good...LOVE the calamari...good portioned meals, and prices aren't too bad either...the inside/decor definitely doesn't look like a typical Greek restaurant...with a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant, "modern" furniture/decor...and even a projector that shows hockey games on one of the big walls...
I've never been disappointed whenever I've eaten at this restaurant...LOVE the calamari! Their rice pilaf is also one of the best I've tasted...not dry like other rice pilafs in other Greek restaurant...appetizers dips are also very good...
I go to this Hon's quite frequently...I've never had a big problem with the cleanliness or service...then again I usually try and go before/after the lunch/dinner rushes...the food's pretty good, and they serve good portions...no complaints with the prices either...
This place serves the BEST breakfast...and totally dirt cheap...I've also tried some of the Chinese food and that has also been really good...the service is ok, depending on how busy they are...the decor/furniture could use some work, but I don't think anyone who goes there frequently is complaining...just as long as it's clean hehe....
Typical Boston Pizza...the food was no better or no worse then any other Boston Pizza in the lower mainland...waiter was really nice...always had our drinks filled....came by frequently to see if we needed anything...
