Adesso Bistro1906 Haro Street, Vancouver
A great addition to the neighbourhood

Four of us went out to Adesso (old Parkside location) on a Sunday night. We were happy to see that they decided to keep the room intact. It's such a beautiful space. Everything we ordered was wonderful. Simple ingredients, great flavours and all cooked perfectly. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Owners are on site which usually makes a difference in staff performance. Prices are affordable and a great value for the wonderful food they put out. A must try, we will definitely be back.

Another great local

This local deli may be tiny but their shelves are packed with a great variety of product. The sandwiches are made on fresh made (up the street) Portuguese buns and the ingredients (try the house made porchetta) are always fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful and always willing to offer cooking tips. Their prices are pretty competitive for such a small place and a lot of items are lower than some of the bigger stores close by. The store itself is very well put together and always very clean.

I've been to Chau at least 20 times since it opened. I find the food quality consistent and always fresh. The staff is great, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I've been there with a table of up to 8 and the bill was around $150 for tons of food and drinks. The space is clean, airy and painted beautifully. Pictures of the owner's parents from the 60's grace the wall and are a nice tip of the hat to the history that's behind Chau. You can't go wrong with this great local restaurant.
