I expected more.
Submitted Sunday, July 24, 2011 - 7:27pm [Dine in]

I really expected a lot from this place since everytime I passed by and it's got this huge line up.
So my kids invited me in the morning after Father's day, we were really happy it was just half full.
However, all we could eat was fruits, fruits, and fruits. well, believe me, we enjoyed the fruits and
it was pleasant for breakfast. However, the other things like the crepes and sandwichs were disappointing
since the custard had no taste, and the sandwich were no connections to the fruits. It's very interesting
to see different ingredients from other typical breakfast restaurants such the one across the street, but
I guess based on our meat-loving family, we prefered more hearty and comfy meals.
And I just wonder what will happen when the winter comes and there won't be so much berries, watermelons, or apples around.
And to compare, the meals are not on the cheap side. they are considerably expensive since all we got
is fruits.
I am sad to say we probably won't return to eat for a while.
But I would recommend people to try it once and enjoy the variety of fruit they provide. It is certainly a
different experience for breakfast.

What a find
Submitted Sunday, July 24, 2011 - 7:15pm [Dine in]

This place really surprised me with the whole package. Since I don't expect to find a japanese restaurant really satisfying my taste buds in the country side, this is definitely a good find.
My family and I drove by after Costco and saw their sign beside Save-on-food. Looks pretty nice from the
outside and we were afraid to go in since it's pretty tiny.
But, wow, the food was awesome. Every dish was nicely presented and the fusion rolls, well, we didn't try all at once, but a few, and they were very very different from the rolls at other places. We had snoopy, torpedo and my favourite, bumble bee under servers' recommendation. We were Totally surpised and overwhelming. All I can say is you've got to go see and eat yourself to see the differences.
The servers, they were pretty young, but attentive and friendly, so we actually started to feel comfortable under their care under a few minutes.
Value, well, I can't say they are on the cheap side, but I seriously was happy to pay for the price since I enjoy so much the atmosphere and the service and most of all the food.
Defintely, I will come back and recommend all my friends to come have a try.
On one note, they get packed really easily, so I guess I would recommend people to avoid rush hours since they only have five or six tables.

I guess I came in on a bad rice day
Submitted Sunday, July 24, 2011 - 7:02pm [Take-out]

well, I don't take out sushi very often, but since it got a long line up, my wife and I decided to take out.
Based on such good reviews, I don't expect service but quality average food.
I was really impressed they only take 10 mins to make my party tray out of long line up at the door.
So happy on a saturday night
But when I get home after 15 mins, the rice really put my wife and me off.
The portion was very satisfying indeed. Dynamite and house rolls are nice and big.
nigiris are very generous. However, the rice was so undercooked that I had chucks of uncooked rice
stuck in my teeth.
Well, I guess I really came in on a bad rice day.
However, the service was average since I don't expect so much from a quick serve place and such
busy restaurant. The servers were professional and fast.
Value, well, is why I go there. So no complaints there.
hopefully I will be brave enough to give it another try another day.

Cheap Sushi!
Submitted Sunday, February 1, 2009 - 12:21am [Dine in]

Heard from friend that Sushi Town owner was from Sushi Garden, so went to try one day. The food was average, basic Japanese food, but SUPER HUGE. The salmon on salmon nigiri was like 10cm long. OH MY GOD, couldn't finish in one bite. One way, I feel happy that it's so worth my money, but one way, I feel they are wasting somehow. The table beside me actually left half of a roll and bunch of nigiri unfinished on the table, what a waste!!! The service was ok, but didn't get my tea refilled til I waved down waitress. There were 3 of them and nobody came by my table. Just sent my orders then they igored us. Not really happy with that. The value is really good though. Combos are always good value. and since they gave out large portion of everything. You don't need to order too much to get filled. One thing I found it really funny was the music. It was BEAT 94.5!!! oh my...I only expect to hear that from my car stereo while I am driving. Not when I am eating SUSHI!!!! definitely don't feel Japanese-y. Don't go there with your date! Ok! Cheap food, good.

fresh dim sum
Submitted Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - 4:20pm [Dine in]

A friend invited me over on a slow Monday. I have been to dim sum restaurants from all over Vancouver over the last few years. To me, there is good and there is not good. What I found out about the food was after we left. It was different because the dim sums did not leave me an oily feeling after. The service was pretty good coz we were the first ones arrived in the restaurant that there were few tables. I guess they want to make it more unique they are using different plates than other restaurants and try to make it look more fusion. oOther than the price, I like the dim sums pretty much.

not bad for first time Thai experience
Submitted Tuesday, January 13, 2009 - 2:09am [Dine in]

went with friends today for dinner. When I looked at the menu I was a bit shocked to see lots of chilli signs in front of the dishes. But after order the appetizer combo and one green curry and one yellow curry and one BBQ duck with red curry. I fancy of the flavour of curries. They were a bit hot for me, but definitely I could take it coz it is pretty tasty. We paid with a coupon that BOGO free. Otherwise, food is pretty good.

Disappointing...
Submitted Monday, January 12, 2009 - 12:28am [Dine in]

I have been to Posh twice. First time with my good friend, I wasn't paying too much attention to the food list they provided. Then second time I took my family. I asked whether they had lamb or not. Somehow, they were like "we never had lamb" with a somehow frustrating attitude. I don't know. I just feel that I ask a simple question, don't be rude! Then I asked about the price for my two kids 8 and 2. And they actually told me they charge my 9-year-old with adult price and my 2 year-old half price of adult. I was like "What??" my 2 year old can't even eat two bites. I don't know, I just think the price was really unreasonable. No wonder it has been two years I went there. I just forgot about it. I won't go again anymore unless I forgot about the price thing again.
Oh! and I was asking another waitress to refill our water which goes into the pot (the teapot)because our waitress jus disappear after our second sheet. Then the waitress we asked probably complain about that, so our waitress just came over and said that it was our last call. I was full so I said it was ok we dont' need anything. But, she didn't provide anything after and when she came she didn't even ask we need water or anything else. I don't know whether it's me too picky in a all-u -can- eat restaurant or not, but just don't feel comfortable about it.

good dim sum
Submitted Sunday, January 4, 2009 - 2:09am [Dine in]

I found it pretty hard to find a decent place for dim sum nowaday. Finally went here on a friend's recommendation. the price was fairly cheap comparing to the restaurants I went in Burnaby and Richmond. Food was okay and came pretty fast. Finally I don't have to spend 40 bucks at Kirin to try to get full. Come try!
