Good food, poor service

We had take out the first time we went there. The food was excellent tasting but the waiter was rude and could care less to explain to us about the different type of sauces. We ordered a meat dish, a vegetarian dish and a noodle dish. They were spicy and savory, however, the vegetable pieces were cut so small, I almost required magnifying glasses to fish them out in a pool of sauce.

Poor food, over priced

I went there with a group of people on a busy Sat night for dinner. It was my first time at the restaurant. The wait staff and host were polite and pleasant and the decor is nice with open dining area.

I ordered the vegetarian chili noodle and I was served a wrong dish with prawns. There was another additional 15 minutes wait for the right dish on top of the previous 40 minutes we've already waited. The waitress told me at the time of ordering that I needed to order an additional side dish since this noodle dish doesn't contain a lot of vegetables (weird...since it's a vegetarian dish), so I ordered the asparagus (there were about 10 stalks of asparagus for a price of $11).

The sauce in the noodle was extremely salty and sweet at the same time with overwhelmingly strong taste of coconut, which was not listed on the menu (sweet onion, peanut, garlic). I was so hungry at that point that I was practically forcing myself to eat it while paying roughly $35 (after tax and tips) for it.

Great view but that's about it

This restaurant was recommended to me by one of my friends who really enjoyed the lobster butter steak.

I ordered from their daily fresh catch menu, bacon wrapped ling cod with roasted potatoes and vegetables. My husband ordered the steak but without the lobster butter sauce since he is not big fan of seafood. We also had the calamari for appetizer, corn bread on the side and the dessert of the day.

The crust on the calamari was extremely hard and had a fishy smell, but the sauce was good. The ling cod was overcooked and dry, the steak was ordinary and tasted like something we can buy from Costco. The thyme scalloped potatoes were crusty and dry but with overflowing amount of butter taste. Corn bread was the only thing that was good. The dessert had an elaborate description but it definitely did not live up to its description. It's basically a tasteless vanilla mouse with a supposedly cinnamon spiced apple mouse (tasted like apple sauce from del monte).

The view was great but the restaurant was overpriced for what was served to us.

Less than unsatisfying

We ordered two dinners for take-out. Since this was our first time, we decided to go with the menu/restaurant recommendation. There are items on the menu listed as #1s and according to the server those are the most popular items.

We had:
Singapore cashew with pork and noodles
Butter chicken

The noodle dish was extremely salty with less than 10 pieces of thinly cut vegetables. I asked to have no carrots and onions in the stir fry but was informed by the server that the vegetables were pre-mixed and I could just pick them out. The cashews were soggy and the pork tasted like it was pre-marinated in lots of salt and was previously frozen.

The butter chicken came with rice and naan bread. The sauce was very salty and powdery. The rice underneath the butter chicken was both undercooked and overcooked. Some rice was soggy and watery and some rice was crusty and hard in the center. I did not realize rice can be both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. The chicken tasted like imitated chicken and had a rubbery texture and again...very salty.

I think this will be our first and last time having food from here.
