This is another place that's gone downhill. I remember when the food tasted like something. Now, it tastes like nothing, unless I add tons of hot sauce! They own the little place next door, which is very yummy, but has enough salt to stop the heart of an elephant. It's been brought to their attention, but it seems to be an ego thing with the manager there now (rather than responding to customer service feedback and requirements) as she is taking the salt thing personally. I won't eat at Cafe Mex at all and the place next door, I will eat there if I feel I can handle the salt.

When Shiki first opened, their food and service was excellent. Then, they hired a new sushi chef, who's still there, and has the speed of a tortoise. The problem is that he's still there. One day, we were about to faint from hunger, and it took over an hour for the food to arrive. That's simply not acceptable. The manager's wife didn't care. Nobody cared. The last time, the food came, and the sushi well took over 30 minutes. It's just not acceptable. They need to fire the sushi chef, and hire someone who has skill & speed. This is a restaurant, for pity's sake. You can't have people waiting an hour for their food, and then leaving unhappy. I won't be eating there again, and we were their biggest supporters and among their first customers. They simply don't care, and I've had enough.
