It is not so bad.
Darios remains my favourite with their great food, service and ambiance.
However, the Poor Italian is getting better with every passing week. I have been there six times and the only time I did not enjoy the food was a time when the head chef was off. The service is getting better and they now have some really great staff. Greeting is friendly at the door. I think I enjoy the lunch experience more as the place is not so frenetic as in the evenings. i do think the value is good as you can get a great plate of pasta for $15 and a there is a nice selection of wines by the glass.
This place really is a gem. The food is very good -- lots of options for different palates. The beer is good with a wide range of choices. Alex (the manager)is stunning and really makes everyone feel welcome. Her attentive service is legendary -- she knows what all her regulars like to eat and drink and she keeps a close eye on the ebb and flow of the restaurant.
